    Gp2x Alternative Case/etui

Hi, I finally got my new GP2x F200. It comes without a case/etui/sleeve/pocket in the simple package. Has anyone tried some alternative container for the GP2X? For example, the PSP etui is too large. The PSP utilities etui is smaller, so I thought maybe that one fits, or maybe it's too small...

    Power Adapter Diy

The link is 'temporarily closed', but from the sounds of it, it's sort of similar to the one I found. I was thinking of maybe splitting the end to provide additional power for an USB hub. I know 3v is not enough in theory, but I read about this guy building a hack in his F100 to get powered USB...

Thanks! I really appreciate you doing this. But the zip is filled with .exe's and .dll's, so I am guessing this is not suitable for linux. It's a shame I have to waste days trying to figure this out, when a lot of devs probably just know this..

Thanks for the reply. Indeed not ideal, so I think you might like to know how to set this up in linux also. And as you know, I won't be telling you. (atm) ;) For the SDL I found a neat trick: CODE #if defined(_MSC_VER) #include "SDL.h" #else #include "SDL/SDL.h" #endif Still, I got something...

Still, when trying the devkitGP2X path setup in Code Blocks I quickly get this error: QUOTE "NewTest - Release" uses an invalid compiler. Skipping... Nothing to be done. So how is it to be setup for linux compatibility? -edit- Also I learned it's 'better' to setup Open2x. I read the wiki's...

    Power Adapter Diy

Ah thanks. In that case I didn't know there were unregulated adapters out there. I will verify before I purchase!

    What's Happened To Gp32x.com?

    I will volunteer to add the following to any ever-included php file: CODE header("Expires: Mon, 19 Jul 1990 01:00:00 GMT"); header("Last-Modified: " . gmdate("D, d M Y H:i:s") . " GMT"); header("Cache-Control: no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate"); header("Cache-Control: post-check=0...

Whoops yeah I just learned about open2x. I thought it was for compatibility with that open firmware only. I already tried devkitGP2x and compiling that example* gave me a ton of errors so I thought it's because all those .exe files in the kit made a point about what OS to use.. * example here...

    Power Adapter Diy

This term 'regulated' comes up a lot (on search) and my brain has a bug where I don't understand what it means when speaking of power adapters. Not even using a dictionary. I am GUESSING that it is similar to direct current (DC as opposed to AC), so would I be fired if I made this guess working...

    Gp2x Arm-linux Toolchain (sdk)

lol kind of an older topic.. but I have the same problem though. Cannot compile any gp2x stuff on linux. There's a lot of preconfigured packs in the archive that are for windows. Some stuff might work for linux (I think), but there's no documentation in the wiki, the archive, or the file...

    Power Supply Crock Of Crap

Yep, already got that, thanks :) Still, if you buy the Mega PowerFetcher MiniDaptor Universal Edition 3-25v 3500 mA, please tell me whether you got it from BabylonZooStore.com or somewhere else.

How about that, I didn't read good. It is filed under gp2x (duh) but it isn't gp2x specific. So it's an option. First I need to get some dev chain working in LINUX. I guess the IDE is independent from that. But all chains appear Windows only. Got C++ working but I cannot compile any gp2x app...

Possible Touchscreen Fix For 4.0.2, 4.1.0 And 4.1.1 Firmwares

Right. I'm curious for the future release. But at the moment, using the autostart function is pretty much all I need to really like the firmware. With the touchscreen bugfix, I think I'm gonna need to hear about either improved (boot)speed or another sweet feature from Open2x before I'd ditch...

    Power Adapter Diy

btw, I found an adapter that does 3,0 or 4,2 volts at 2500 mA. I read in different topics about 3,6 or 3,7 volts.. so any thoughts on 3,0 volts for the gp2x?

The devkitGP2X is full of .exe files.. should it be compatible with linux? I would try this:

Possible Touchscreen Fix For 4.0.2, 4.1.0 And 4.1.1 Firmwares

Nice to know. But I'll wait 'till it's deemed save by the F200 community ;) Now that we're talking about Open2X, I've read the wiki but I fail to learn the main improvement apart from openness and license enforcing. Is it speed? Will we be able to emulate N64? (just kidding) Yeah me neither...

Turns out I already have Code::Blocks installed. I don't want another copy with another version of the same app. So I downloaded devkitGP2X.rar from the archive instead. I have a litthe trouble setting it up with CB though.. Am I on the right track or is that chain hopelessly adviced against?
