@ CKeichel: you can download my pocketsnes 7.1.9B "installation" here: http://ul.to/y6xjhq
@ hi-ban: I bought my Caanoo in september and the stock firmware was 1.0.1...
I tried the Wiz version (trough Ginge) and it works well... just a problem with some commands, for example when you run a game it's impossible to come back to the menu (the Caanoo hasn't the volume buttons)...
Me too... the only difference is that I called the emulator work dir "pocketsnes", but this is irrelevant ...
I don't know, maybe a problem with my SD card... :huh:
To make a ini file is quite simple, it's enough use a normal notepad editor and write these few lines:
[info]
name="Title name"
path="/gamedir/game.gpe"
icon="/gamedir/icon.png"
title="/gamedir/titlebar.png"
The "gamedir" is the game/app work directory (obviously this is different for any...
I use Sandisk with my Caanoo, a 16 GB class 4 SDHC for applications/games storage and a 2 GB class 2 SD for firmware upgrade...
In any case the maximum memory card capacity supported by Caanoo OS is 32 GB...
Of course! A portion of RAM is reserved to the Operating System and to the video buffer/data... similary the Wiz has got 64 Mbytes of RAM, but only 21-22 Mbytes are available for the user...
I think that a Caanoo/Wiz "software layer" for the GP32 applications/games would be very appreciated!
Maybe trough a new Ginge release it would be possible expand the compatibility at the GP32 software...
Try the ROMs at "[LINK REMOVED]" (in many case they work on GnGEO)... ;)
Please do not link to ROM sites here. This is very clearly mentioned in the rules thread which appears at the top of every forum index. Please acquaint yourself with it before posting again.
Yes... put the timidity dir in the root of your SD, copy the file timidity.cfg into a "duke2x" dir and then add this line at the start of the file (use a stardard notepad editor):
dir /mnt/sd/timidity/
You can download the timidity instruments from here...
Try this version: http://dl.openhandhelds.org/cgi-bin/gp2x.cgi?0,0,0,0,20,956
I use it on my Caanoo and I can play with Duke Nukem 3D (obviously trough the Ginge) without any problem! ;)
