    Release hfsutils port

Well, I haven't tried it myself - the only HFS disk I have is inside an old iBook. I don't know why it wouldn't work, though. (I'm not sure how those utilities actually work - usually filesystem drivers are loadable kernel modules, if they aren't compiled in.)

    Release hfsutils port

It looks like regular ARM binaries, so just extract it to somewhere and add that directory to your PATH: export PATH=$PATH:/path/to/hfsutils If you want to make this permanent, you can add it to ~/.bashrc (otherwise you'll have to change the PATH every time you start a new terminal session).

What's the best way to store a charger in a confined space?

I have fairly big hands and I tend to agree - I don't have significant experience with Xbox controllers, but GCN controllers are definitely easier to handle than PSX ones. A large part of that is probably the weirdly-positioned huge analog sticks, though (I've never been able to handle FPSes on...

    32gb card under £25

I have had that happen with a Kingston card (2GB), but Kingston, or so I have heard, often rebrands other manufacturers' cards as their own. I wonder if it was originally a PNY...

    eBay

Well, in this case I don't see what's wrong with asking the seller if he'd be willing to ship to the Ukraine, provided you (the buyer) paid the extra shipping. If you're looking for some uncommon item that isn't available in your country, I would think it would be worth it.

Why remove links to ROM sites?

They absolutely don't like people being able to resell games (and various other media). This is why downloadable content locked to one user account is becoming so common. Additionally, you have rather disturbing precedents like this one being set. In this case, someone tried to resell some...

How to send audio from EXT port inputs to speakers?

This is a closely-related question (although it asks about mic input instead of EXT port input) - I would have said cat /dev/dsp > /dev/dsp might work, but apparently not in that case (might still be worth a try).

    Announcing Droidora - - - HELP WANTED

I really don't know what I'm talking about, but it sounds a bit like what happens when you try to load from a filesystem you don't have the drivers for (like if you compiled the driver as a kernel module, but you can't load it since you don't have the rootfs available yet). I don't know if...

Why remove links to ROM sites?

There are two problems here: first, the law itself is ambiguous (and there are multiple separate bodies of law that could apply). It's the job of the judicial system to create precedent which can clarify the interpretation of the law, but that hasn't really happened yet. Second, and more...

I can't find any source code available.

    Capability ARM - Dreaming

The version of Abiword in the repo does not support Office 2007 .docx files. The normal desktop version of Abiword does, though: it has to be enabled at compile time (I have done this). Also, there's a built-in microphone.

    wifi-optimization

Here it is. I don't actually remember changing any of the settings except "TX Power" from the default - I would add that while "CTS Protection Mode" says "Default: Auto" there, the online help says the default is for it to be disabled.

Can anyone test some software for me in WINE under Fedora?

So you can boot, but the actual installer program itself (Ubiquity on Ubuntu, Anaconda on Fedora) has issues? You could try Arch Linux, as the installer is just a set of bash scripts - be warned, however, that it's not very "friendly," but the Arch site has a lot of good documentation if your...

    wifi-optimization

Are you sure they were configured exactly the same? There are tons of advanced settings (exposed in DD-WRT via the Wireless->Advanced Settings tab, oddly enough) that I don't remember being configurable on other routers I've used. A few are self-explanatory (TX antenna, RX antenna, max...

    wifi-optimization

My wi-fi works as expected with power-saving on, and turning it off doesn't seem to have any effect at all on transfer rates - I get average transfer rates of 700-900 KB/s either way. This is almost twice as fast as my DSL, so it's not bad at all. My router is a Linksys WRT54GL running DD-WRT...

    The Hacking Chart

How are "chiptunes" a hack? (I might quibble with the placement of a few others, and there are plenty I could think to add, but that one stood out as an odd choice.)
