Thanks for the input. I'll start by looking there.

    Release PanMESS Beta

Yes, it is true that I'm a busy busy guy and haven't yet had time to make the needed changes. I have at least cracked open the source again and applied zedtop's patch, but I have yet to nail down the menu problem. It doesn't help that I've already got a lot going on this week, but I will...

    Release PanMESS Beta

Thanks for your efforts. I'll incorporate this as soon as I can. I also intend on trying to fix the ROM selector in AdvanceMess itself so you can switch media without backing out to AdvanceMenu. Calling this an official release too, I guess - Since there haven't been any other bug reports.

    Release PanMESS Beta

If you can tell me what was changed, I'll compile it in and bake a new PND.

    Release PanMESS Beta

The is not a list of systems yet. Generally anything before 1990 runs ok.

    Release PanMESS Beta

Hmm. I see what you mean. I know there's a way to override it without fiddling with the source code again.

    Release PanMESS Beta

I'll upload the source very soon and post a link here. Although, I'm not sure what you mean by the squashed CoCo3 resolution. I made sure to integer scalle all requested video modes. If you make it any bigger the aspect ratio will be wrong. If you nudge the overscan off the edge of the screen...

Pandora Are you an active developer on Pandora?

I wish I was active. I can only find time is super short bursts.

    Pandora PNDs: Emergency exit key(combination)?

Holding the Pandora button brings up the PND task killer (usually).

    256MB / 512MB / 600MHz / 1GHz

Trade in my 256MB Pandora now and get a 512KB for just a couple of hundred or wait until the 1GHZ hit full production and trade in then. I wonder what the upgrade cost will be when the 1GHZ models hit full steam production.

    Prometheus: WTF ?!??!

This is certainly unexpected news. I had to check the calendar to make sure it wasn't April 1st... Shame to see you go, Prometheus. But, I understand where you're coming from. All the best.

Searching for ancient DOS game: Grand Prix. No, not that one.

I checked my archive of ancient DOS games, too. No luck. I have some that haven't been backed up from removable media recently, so maybe it's on one of those.

Chip Tunes - Make your own

I've used Little GP Tracker (Piggy) on the GP2X, and have run it in Ginge once upon a time. Still a valuable tool, imo.

    ext4: pnds won't start

You can try using "sudo thunar" and using the gui to set the permissions instead. I'm pretty sure that my line should've worked though. It's possible that ownership of the card itself needs to be changed.

    ext4: pnds won't start

Oh, I see. Hmm... It's probably a permissions issue then. Try: sudo chown -R [username]:[username] /media/[SD Card Partition Label]/ Replace the stuff in braces with the appropriate values.

    ext4: pnds won't start

I would try using the SD Intaller application from the Repo to prepare your card, and then copy your home directory over.

Pandora with microSD - will you buy it?

Put some thought into it. I really don't care. Fact is, I have two cards the never get removed. I'll be disappointed if I have to re-invest in some micro-sd to hold all my stuff, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.

Games that have actually spooked you..?

Ken Kalish's masterpiece Phantom Slayer for the CoCo. I still jump every time I turn a corner to find myself face to face with a phantom, and the death sound plays, <shivers just thinking about it>

Terminal went to quasi full screen - stuck there?

They made it so if the window manager does crash it starts right back up again. Or at least out is supposed to. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
