Have you tried blowing it out with some compressed air? Often times a bit of dust will work its way between the wheel and the contacts and cause such behavior.
However, this looks really good, and I'll probably install the beta when it is available. I was impressed with Morrowblivion when it was released, and I hope the combat plays like Skyrim, but they somehow bring back the magic of Morrowind.
I'm more excited about the progress that OpenMW has...
Don't know the name, but it was some sort of reaction game on a Timex Sinclair where you had to drop bombs on a city. Although there was a kind of Yars Revenge game that I remember playing on the Sinclair too. Don't remember which I actually played first, but it was one of those two.
About the repository automatically creating threads about new additions.
Yeah... It was a good idea, and I can see the value of it. I don't want to see them though. How come I can't block the "repository" user?
Or can I at least have those messages not appear in my news feed?
I can tell you right now that if you go for the 6809 you won't be sorry. It's a workhorse. There's a rabid group of enthusiasts who love programming for the thing wherever they can find it.
Ultimately that's the angle I took. I stopped trying to compile the same versions of the dependencies that came with the package and started compiling against the native Pandora libs. Now I've run into some more GL specific stuff in the x86 Linux build that I have to massage into GLES2. I'm not...
Got it to compile. Nothing to test it with yet. The samples all rely on a strange version of and openal that I can't seems to find ARM sources for. I'll try to make a 'hello world' to compile against the lib and see what happens.
If anyone has an libopenal.a file laying around I could sure use it.
I was considering starting up a 3D game project and come across GamePlay3D. It's a Apache licesened 3D framework that targets both GNU/Linux and OpenGL/ES2. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with it on the Pandora before I set about trying to compile it?
Looks pretty promising, and...

Provides the necessary clues to doing this. :D

I've always been like that as long as I can remember. Even as a kid I'd lay awake at night well past my bedtime. As a teen it wasn't uncommon for me to get 4 hours of sleep and function just fine.
I used to think it was odd too, and tried to make myself get more sleep, but always felt worse...
