@szr: Well... I don't pretend to be an Apple engineer, but that is why they did what they did.
@TrashyMG: Maybe your Droid used some other (possibly more convoluted or costly) method to detect the disconnect.
I hate to play devils advocate, but Apple did change it for a reason. As you pull an Apple standard headset out of the socket the ground pin hits the mic pin and gives the phone an audible pop on the mic line. This lets music players detect the disconnect and pause. This also allows the phone to...
Yeah, I got the same thing. It's because Xroar isn't smart enough to realize it's running on a little-endian CPU and it's loading the rom "upside-down and backwards." I gave up on Xroar a long time ago and went with MESS. As a matter of fact that's why I compiled MESS for the Pandora in the...
I find more is usually worse. If I put everything on there I end up playing my old stand-by games over and over again instead of branching out into games I haven't played before. Often times I'll check around for "best games for X platform" threads and look for titles I haven't played before...
Well. It's work 60$, I'd say. I haven't pushed the emulation envelope on it yet, but the few games I've tried have been kinda fun. The Giana Sisters game was a little "jumpy" but that may have been due to the download going on in the background... :/
It'll be nice to put on a TV and have as a...
This is my ever present companion. I have several because it's like the swiss army knife of computer accessories. Self-powered if you need it. 3 USB 2.0 ports, multi-format card readers. Basically, it's great. Cheap to.
I got an order number, then silence... I figure they got bombarded with orders and is taking time to soft through it all.

So, I didn't think it was possible, but someone compiled an ARMv7 compatible fastboot binary. I just used my Pandora to flash a Recovery ROM to my ASUS TF300T in the absence of a desktop or laptop. I just gained a level in geek.
Binary located here...
I personally find the Android Tablet experience lacking. The quality and value of applications seems to be a little off. I have a really good tablet with a keyboard dock, but can't really use it for anything very productive because there just aren't any quality productivity apps out there. I...
Nice article. As a SL4P user I can vouch for it's features and speed. I've run into a few little oddities, but nothing show stopping. Until .NEXT is at RC stage, this is definitely my OS of choice for my Pandora, and may continue to be so even after that.
Y'know it might be a nice feature of the Repo to allow you to mark favorite apps to download in one go, just in case the unthinkable happens. Kind of a "My Configuration" list. Users could compare lists too, which might be fun. :D Don't have a list? Grab someone else's as a starting point.
