Craiginator or Gamebrick or L33tLump are my votes;) But I think it should be Craiginator;)

    1. If you read my comment, I said "Tv format analogue". This means scan correction between the far different TV and monitor standards. Yes it's analogue. But both CB radio and broadband communication via copper are analogue. They don't talk nice to each other, though. 2. I'm still far...

DVI can be converted to VGA cheaply enough but you're right. The DVI connector used must be DVI-I or DVI-D so that the analogue signal is transmitted as well so no real conversion as so much as adaptation.

I have a problem with the VGA idea: If you know of a device that can convert VGA to some form of analogue TV output for 15 pounds(or 30CAD), I wanna see it. There are cables that claim to do so but there is no scan conversion causing the TV signal to be very horrid and flickery. Most of the...

I stand corrected. I didn't do that much research pre-post and was mostly spouting by ear:P Though I agree Composite is weak and delivers lots of bleeding colors, it's also fairly common, and pretty much ever present in even the cheapest of TVs. And many older console used this as their...

For those who need help with standards: Composite(Also known as RCA since it uses the RCA style connectors created by the company of the same name): Red: right audio White: Left Audio Yellow: All video Component(to confuse matters, these also use RCA connectors, but this is technically...

If you were to count the dpad as buttons, the N64 would have 14: U,D,L,R LT, RT, Z, Start, B, A, C1, C2, C3, C4 The GP2X would have 13. But most of your are rampant because the buttons aren't in the same place, etc.... I wouldn't want a portable that looks like a Manta-ray-turned-handgun...

I move we use a brainspike. We jam a small extension from this device into our cranium and interface directly with our neurons. To prevent aneurysm, we'll have it pause automagically every 10 mins like the Virtual Boy did. Also, it should never be used by people under 25. Your warranty is...

In theory. There are Linux apps that recognize voice input and many of the things Microsoft has had implemented since Win95(nope, they haven't changed or improved a bloody thing since 1996, it's the same system in WinXP as in Microsoft Bob) was free information and tech released from AT&T...

A few notes: Rumble is not patented. Immersion owns the patent for using a variable rumble composed of two motors(a heavy one and a light one) for varying rumbilability(that a word?). Nintendo doesn't license anything from Immersion because Nintendo uses a single motor with varying frequency...

I'm not quite warmed up to the DaveC modular approach. It seems like it would scatter development for it too much. The beauty of a console is it's static hardware. You can develop for it and test it out in the world without having to worry about isolating a large chunk of the populace. I'm...
