    Amiga Emulation?

Christ - I suddenly feel very, very old.

    stupid piece or crap

I'll take DOS 6.x anytime. Except for extended memory errors, trying to shove things in HIMEM and doing my damndest to screw out ever last byte in order to get Wing Commander 3 up and running.

    GOD does this look dorky.

Don't knock it 'til you've tried it. However, I have not tried it and merely seen others using it. Therefore I officially declare it 'Very silly'. But people seem to enjoy themselves when playing it. It's no less dumb than Euro Dance Party Acid Fiend Replay Mix, or whatever that dancing...

    DoCoMo Wristomo

I could be completely wrong here but... ...I don't think DoComo phones use SIM cards. You buy a phone, enter you account code and you're away. It's one (along with price and relatively high incomes) of the reasons why people tend to have several devices. You can go from using one phone to...

    Joining the community as well

Depends what kind of games you like. 3D shooters are a little thin on the ground. Plenty of good 2D ones (in fact, some of the best ever produced) available for PC Engine. If you like Sim City 2000 - I recommend Civilisation on CaSTaway - takes a little while to get used the controls...

    New version of Handy-Lynx released

Get it here. Author comments: 2003-09-13 I've taken the sources from the port and have modified them a bit. It's still far from okay, but Chip Challenge runs 40% faster :-) And I say thanks for the release.

    N-Gage - First Review

N-Gage Review One member of the public states that using it as a phone "makes you look like a twat" while there are reports of eye-strain and headaches while playing games. I sh*t you not.

    any fix for clicky joystick?

animator75 - Wico. That's the brand. Definitely the pro's choice

A way of getting extra speed out of your GP

Probably no room for a heat sink. Never looked inside a GP32 so I don't know how much space there is... However a Peltier element is very thin, has no moving parts and uses relatively little current. It depends on how much cooling is required (assuming the resets/lock-ups are caused directly by...

    !!!!!!!!!????!!!!&

This looks quite neat - ergonomically. Agree with Hando - it's a modified Palm Pilot, but it'll be interesting to see how these competes with the N-Gage. If Tapwave want to go down the convergent technology/usage route they will need to prove mobile phone support. As for the games, who knows...

    any fix for clicky joystick?

Redball? I assume that was the one with the bare metal stick with the redball on top - iirc it had a white fire-button up there as well. If that's what you're thinking of, they were made by an american company whose name escapes me at the moment. Definitely the strongest sticks I ever use...

    Strange Korean error...

Strange. I (and I assume everyone else) gets a red-bordered window with a bunch of Korean text in it. It usually disappears after a couple of seconds or when you hit a button. A please get a proper SMC! :)

Why did you buy your GP32?

UndeadCretin wrote: My biggest mistake was putting the GBC emulator on it, as my girlfriend keeps nicking it to play Tetris! (and columns on the GG). You have my sympathy. I too am a Columns widower. Don't let her near Mean Bean Machine either.

Why did you buy your GP32?

Following on from a few other recent posts pointing out the occassional bursts of ill-will in the GP32 community, I thought I'd ask (and apologies if it's been asked before)... Why did you buy a GP32? ...We have plenty of asks, and some demands, as to what people want to see on this great...

    Piracy Eithics

Nah. There's no good side to piracy. The argument that you weren't going to but it anyhow cuts no ice. I wasn't going to buy it so you should give it to me for free? I might try that one next time I'm out *not* shopping for trainers I'm *not* going to buy anyway. I'm lucky in that I worked...

    MAME or...?

Agree with MAME - some of the greatest arcade games are tidlers (sub 1mb) but that's just my opinion. One thing somes to mind, though, and that's MESS. There has been an attempt to create a Pocket PC port, but the author couldn't get it running at a decent speed. <ramble> I suppose an...
