Dump Game Save Data From Gba Cartridge

I had a Visoly Flash Advance Extreme in the past that could read savedata from an original GBA cartridge. But for some reason I never got the saves working on backup carts or emus, I guess the software was buggy. Since Visoly was sued to death within a few months, there's never been an update...

    Usb Connection Problem

First, you should consider downgrading to 2.1.2 + Notaz's SDHC-enabled kernel. It will give you better compatibility and less problems than the buggy 4.++ firmwares. Second, the gp2x never made a good cardreader. If you have a separate cardreader, use it! But be aware that everything from 4Gb...

    Which Retro Console..?

It's still pretty easy to get the VGA box off of eBay. I did about 2 months ago, cost me less than $30 including shipping. And it's worth every cent of it, the screen is incredible!

More C64 Woes Or A New Lease Of Life? C64dtv Has Anybody Got One Of Th

I've got two of these, a PAL and an NTSC version. You should really get yourself a 1541-III DTV by Jussi Saily! He's still making them, got mine about 1 month ago from him. A 1Gb micro-sd should be sufficient to store all C64 games ever made! Take a look at this mod, it's like what I'm planning...

Help Installing (x)ubuntu On Toshiba Portege M200

I don't know which version of (X)Ubuntu you're using, but if you want to install it on top of your existing Windows installation without loosing that, you should try Wubi. The newer (X)Ubuntu versions might already have Wubi integrated. At least, the last Kubuntu does. For problems with Grub...

    Open2x Dr4

Indeed, I also found out that my old gmenu2x from the sdcard was still running fine. But since it lacks the open2x extensions, I've re-created all links in the on-nand gmenu2x and disabled the autorun on the sdcard. But that also means that if you swap cards, the links will still be there but...

    Battery Help

The F200 can have 3.7-4.0V on its input. I modded my F200 for a NDS Lite Li-Ion battery, which is 3.7V. The F200 can handle reversed polarity for a short time too (at least mine can). But the F100 is using a different voltage converter (which is more sensitive to abuse) inside and it could be...

    Rechargeable Batteries

What counts is the total power in Watts. In an ideal world, the drawn on the primary (240v) side of an adapter is equal to the power delivered on the secondary (12v) side. Since this is not an ideal world, there's some energy lost in the process of bringing the voltage down, but as a...

    Heaters

Instead of trying to get more heat out of 2kW, you could try to overclock your gp2x, since it will generate more heat then.

    Which Retro Console..?

Sega Dreamcast, no doubt about it. But you might want to add a third-party controller. Personally, I'm not disliking the DC controller, but others are and the design is slightly different from what we're used to. Modding for backups is not necessary at all. The old XBox is a good second. Easy...

    Open2x Sdhc

Not exactly what you might want to know, but I'm running Open2x with an 8Gb micro-sdhc card and an adapter. It's working without problems, so personally I would try a 16 or 32Gb card (if I needed it) without thinking about it.

    Preparing For Pandora!

Interesting, but your fixed $50 international shipping does not make it more attractive. I guess you have your good reasons for it, but actually you're limiting bidding to the US only.

    Firmware 4.0 Question

2 quick answers: Yes, technically spoken you can upgrade without any problems. No, practically spoken your problems will increase when "upgrading" to the inferior 4.x firmware. It's better to upgrade to 2.1.2 and apply Notaz's SDHC patched kernel. It will ensure you max. compatibility. As an...
