    The Mana World

@Uni - Hey, people like you and Rikku are giving us reasons to get a wi-fi dongle. I might get a wifi dongle anyway, but some great games and apps that're internet-enabled will definitely give us reasons to.

    GP2X Gp2X Template

Ok, so assuming you've got the SDK downloaded, open the tools folder, and inside that, the codeblocks folder, and finally the wizard folder. Take the config.script and the 'gp2x' folder and copy them. Then, navigate to the 'C:\Program Files\CodeBlocks\share\CodeBlocks\Templates\Wizard' folder...

    GP2X Gp2X Template

Yeah, I figured out that I think you need to copy the wizard into the template folder of CodeBlocks. Search the CodeBlocks directory - copy the files in the GP2X Project Template folder into the CodeBlocks template / wizard folder.

    Pcsx4All Caanoo Beta Testing Results

Yes. I know it's far too much of a difference, but if it could eke out just 5 or 10 more FPS, that would be absolutely great. The compatibility increase alone between the two betas is incredible. Also, this is a seventh 'game' - the scph1001 bios also seems to work (when trying to load an...

Is Caanoo The Right Device For Me?

This is a good place. Also, the Caanoo archive and GPH's official Facebook page are good places to comment. GPH seems really good about getting back to people on their Facebook page.

    State Of Emulation On Caanoo

I don't really think that it's fair to be annoyed that the emulators aren't the greatest yet as the Caanoo hasn't even been out a full year. Ginge will probably come out sometime soon, and the SNES and NES emulators will also probably be fixed soon as well. However, while I do agree that GPH...

    Pcsx4All Caanoo Beta Testing Results

@AJack Make that six; Tomba doesn't crash on landing - which is great, except the FPS is super slow. Ahh, well. That's progress, still!

    Spreading The Word

I too think that the freeware and official game archive needs to be upped dramatically for the Caanoo to be popular. Clearly, it's the best open-source handheld game system out there for $150, but without strong games, there's no real reason to buy a Caanoo. Also, it kind of kills Caanoo sales...

Gpsp Pokemon Emerald, Sapphire And Ruby

Huh. Ruby crashed for me too. Hopefully the porter of GPSP will take a look at this thread and fix it. Also, homebrewn games don't work for me (the six I downloaded, anyway).

    Wishlist: Voip And Others

Pretty much any sort of online-enabled program, like a Skype-like service, a Mail program, a Web browser, or even an App store would be useful to me.

    Railroad Rampage For Caanoo

Nice job on the game. Continue with porting / making games. This one's a bit difficult, but that just gives it replay value, right? :) Thanks for the addition to the Caanoo's archive.

    Cantime

Hmm... That's a good idea. I'll probably do that (although, I think I'd make a different app for that). It shouldn't be too difficult to do at all.

    Internet Connected Caanoo

@ozzuneoj - The weather application sounds good. Or, someone could port an already online-enabled game (like Battle of Wesnoth or something like that) to work on the Caanoo. A few of those would make me buy a Wi-fi module.

    Cantime

Hey. So I was timing something, and I had my Caanoo in my hand, and I thought, "Why can't I have a timer on my Caanoo?"... So, a couple of hours in development later, here's version 1.0 of CanTime, the Timer for Caanoo. There's a readme text file included about how to operate the app, but it's...

Opinion On Where To Go Now

Get the latest GPH SDK - there are a few threads around here about setting it up to compile on your Caanoo; you should be able to download it from the Caanoo's file archive. When you run the wizard to make a new project in CodeBlocks, it will create a template project that uses SDL to load and...

    Internet Connected Caanoo

I would probably buy a dongle / connect my Caanoo to the Internet if a few good games or apps came out for it. Without any reason to, I'm not going to connect it.

    Is Ccgamingonline.com/caanoocenter.com Legit?

You may want to start contacting GPH; perhaps they could help to contact the reseller. If you can't get a hold of them via Email or FunGP, try their FaceBook page; they seem to respond fairly quickly.

Opinion On Where To Go Now

Yep; like U9i said, get a quick game up and running. If you want to use SDL, then C++ should work fine, but if you want to use another language, like BennuGD or Love, then you'll have to opt in for other languages. Since you know C++ well enough, run through some C++ tutorials and get them up...

Point Outs For A New Member

EDIT: Project64 is a good N64 emulator. I believe at least an older source of it is available.
