I don't have any problems with people posting their cancellations if they have something useful to say or have been an strong part of the community for awhile. I do wish they would stick to one thread so we don't have 20% of the front page full of different threads all about the same thing, not...
I think the 4 second button press is more of a kill button than a quit button; useful for when a program freezes up. Something like Menu, Up, Action button (assuming exit is the last button on the menu screen) would probably be a more normal way to exit. Or Alt+F4 if using standard keyboard...

There should be some cases left from the original 1000 so they can keep building for a little bit. Once they run out they will still have some boards so you are right, the cases are the current holdup.

Thanks for the review 1jones. A few comments. The carrying case is supposed to stretch a bit with use, hopefully it get loose enought hta you don't have to worry abut the L/R buttons, but still snug. As for get C/C++ going you might check these two links: Toolchain, Demo
