I noticed that as well and just assumed it was the lighting. Still, I have to say the Dingoo screen seemed to hold up well in the video despite my hearing about it having a poor viewing angle (haven't received mine yet). Honestly, just so you don't have to hold it tilted slightly up like I had...
Lunar is a series of incredible RPGs -- especially the second one. It's really a marvel with full-screen, sprite-based cutscenes and very good voice acting.
Wikipedia link. Kolibri is a shooter for 32x that features a hummingbird as your "ship." It has both sidescrolling and free-moving levels and is very, very challenging and quite fun. :) It was made by the company behind the Ecco games, which are some of my favorite games.
Also, the CD has...
Kolibri was also a beautiful and unique game for the 32x. Also there's chaotix, but I could never get into that.
But I agree that it isn't worth it if it requires much effort. Much more worthy would be enabling mp3s in Sega CD emulation.
I agree about price being the deciding factor for me. My opinion is the Wiz is too expensive. I don't think it should have been over $150. If they could make this 120-130 (without OLED is fine with me), I'd happily consider this.
At the same time, unless they can make it almost entirely...
I'm really thrilled to hear that! I've owned GP32 and GP2X and thoroughly loved them, but I always felt hindered by the poor 2-3 hour battery life. It always led me to underclock whenever possible and not play really long RPGs. It's really encouraging to hear I could fit one or two days'...
The Dingoo seems to be a good way for someone to get their feet wet on the open handheld scene if you've never owned a GP32/GP2X. The price of entry is very low, and you already have some very impressive emulators all the way up to Sega CD, SNES and MAME.
I myself picked up a Dingoo with the...
My Dingoo is on order right now, so I will soon be joining the ranks of Dingux users. It all sounds very interesting, and I'm thrilled that there is finally a homebrew platform that is similar in size to the Gameboy micro (which is in my opinion the perfect size for a handheld).
The greatest day that never was -- when rlyeh was going to release polished versions of every emulator he was making for GP32.
There were 3 or 4 emulators released as a preview of F-Day, and they were awesome. But final ones never made it out.
Nice! That's the problem.. almost all of the homebrew created for GP2X is well within the realm of what GP32 can handle, but it just doesn't get the love it deserves anymore. Thanks for keeping my old 32 alive. :)
Wow! This topic is still going! I don't want to be the annoying person that asks for a recap of any developments, but can anyone give me a recap of any of the developments on this new handheld? :)

That link has a video of Lair (a PS3 game) running on PSP using the Remote Play option. Can someone tell me what that actually means?
Are the graphics downscaled on the PSP, or is the video kind of streaming off of the PS3...
Hmm... The more I see of this F200, the more unnecessary I think it is. Perhaps I'm wrong, but the main draw of the GP2X is emulation, and none of the consoles it's capable of emulating had touchscreen.
I suppose it could be good for SCUMM and some computer emulators...
But maybe this...
Are there no lightweight open-source browser projects? I know Opera's the popular handheld browser, but that's not open (right?).
If dzz is right, I'm excited about this. I'm wary of the dual-core thing. But I'm no dev. If I see it producing substantial results, that's all that matters...
Hmm... 99 pages and I just saw this thread...
Anyway, I support a new console. Sadly, the GP2X was kind of outdated the day it was released (unlike the GP32, which was king for years).
