    Other Uses For Pandora

Sounds awesome; I'm trying to get into robotics, and was just looking into the Arduino devices myself. Pandora would be a great hacking assistant! I second panik; keep us posted! :D

    Other Uses For Pandora

Nanoloop and Little Sound DJ would both be good candidates for a Pandora port, I imagine. I'm no musician as I am now, but I'd like to get into electronic music, and having some software for that on-the-go would be excellent. Hopefully those developers will show some interest!

    Other Uses For Pandora

I am in college, and I'm planning to use it for those very purposes. As for typing, I was thinking I'd get one of those cheap roll-up portable keyboards for taking lecture notes and the like. Not the best quality, perhaps, but inexpensive and unlikely to break, at least in theory; otherwise, I...

    Other Uses For Pandora

I sometimes use my laptop like a manilla folder; tuck papers or paper money in between the screen and keyboard when it's closed. I suppose I can do the same with the Pandora too. :P Seems like a rather pricey doorstop, though.

    Other Uses For Pandora

For the most part, I want it as a PDA/organizer, and as an Ebook reader, since I have a huge number of ebooks that I'm otherwise pinned to my larger computers to read. I'm not so much of one for retro gaming myself, although I do have a few favorites like Final Fantasy Tactics and Magic Carpet...

    Pandora 2 Concept

Mm, wasn't thinking about cellphones; ironically I have one with a window just like you describe, and that works pretty well, so I detract my earlier comment, I suppose. Also, I didn't catch that you were talking about an external remote. Sorry for the misunderstandings on my part. That said...

    Pandora 2 Concept

On a device as small as the Pandora, that seems awkward from a technical standpoint. Where would you put it? On the outside of the top part of the case, it's just likely to be scratched, and I imagine it'd be difficult to fit a screen of any useful size on there without increasing the...

    Nub As Mouse.

Well, speaking for myself, I'd rather like such a thing. I don't want to be tied to the inefficiencies of a clunky GUI forever, however, the simple fact is I'm just not there yet; having an intuitive, if not all that efficient, means of changing the keys is preferable right now versus diving...

    My Pandora Preview

It's great to have a report from the ranks of the waiting users! Thanks for sharing; it sounds like all our expectations are well warranted! :)

Lucky bastard! Give us an in-depth review on how it performs when you get back! :D

    Nub As Mouse.

My mistake - yes, that's precisely what I meant. A guitar fret wouldn't work nearly as well. EDIT: Like so:

    Nub As Mouse.

I often use the edge of my fingernails that way with touch devices, but that's a bit unweildy. My main point is that a guitar fret is nice since it's more accurate and also stays where it's most useful for touchscreen input when you're not using it. Far less 'switching time' involved than...

    Nub As Mouse.

I think the best and simplest solution would be to wear one of those ring-like guitar frets on your middle or index finger, or something similar. The stylus is great to have for extensive mouse-related sessions, but that way, you would basically turn your finger into a very accurate stylus for...

Has The Official Ce Certification Been Scheduled?

If it's not a big deal, I second this. As BackAssward is probably suggesting, stuff printed on the case of a given device, especially pocketable ones like MP3 players and palm pilots, doesn't tend to last more than a year of heavy use; often less than that. I also like the idea of keeping the...

    Pandora 2 Concept

I second that. Software buttons are a pain when you have to dig up alternative drivers and the like for them; moreover, I can't adjust the volume without opening the laptop up fully (at least on my current unit). It came with this silly little media remote, but it's the sort of thing you...

    Pandora 2 Concept

...also, I know touchpads are fairly hardy for the most part, but aren't they likely to be damaged if they're on the bottom of the device, without anything to cover them when not in use? Everything else is pretty much protected, but if they're on the bottom, obviously they're liable to be...

Official Blog Post - Out Of Nowhere

Ah, I never saw any links to the other language boards, so I made the questionable assumption that they didn't exist. I am Error. :P

    My Mp Pandora

NO EXCUSEno, seriously, I hope that heals up okay, Craig. Smashing your head open is never a fun experience. :( On the other hand, you can now officially endorse the Pandora as a machine that significant amounts of blood went into the making of. No doubt most of the forum crew can supply some...

Official Blog Post - Out Of Nowhere

Forgive my ignorance then; I have to remember I'm a newcomer here. But as far as I've seen, all the major threads in the Pandora section, at least, were in English. I think a poll would be interesting. :)
