    Eurogamer Pandora Write-Up & Review

DaveC isn't mentioned by name, but this passage seems to make it clear that they're different people: I do agree that the passage saying MWeston is from the US should be corrected. Otherwise, pretty good article. They could have gone more in depth, of course, but it's much better than most.

PandoraWiki updated to latest MediaWiki version

Deleted that one. Unfortunately, there still seem to be dozens of spam accounts a day being created: http://pandorawiki.o...l:RecentChanges They haven't made any edits yet, so perhaps they're being prevented by whatever ED's added - but really, it should not be possible for so many new bot...

PandoraWiki updated to latest MediaWiki version

Thanks very much for fixing everything, ED. Looking through the history, it seems that the problem started on July 2 with a few spambot accounts, and slowly snowballed from there.

    Japanese Input

There were a few on GP32X, don't know about here. I speak it but am based in Canada, myself.

    Japanese Input

If it helps, some months ago I wrote a tutorial for making a custom map of the Pandora keyboard to type in Russian. The same steps should work for any other language... you just have to map the keysyms. Here's the link: http://pandorawiki.o..._layout_changer Unless things have significantly...

PandoraWiki updated to latest MediaWiki version

Thanks ED, but from what I can see it hasn't helped with the spam problem. The question when one registers has to be something that a robot cannot answer; currently it's just a simple math question, so we're getting constant registration of bot accounts. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find...

Still waiting on an RMA since Jan 2012

ED, been trying to get your attention for weeks: please change the "are you a robot" registration question on the Pandorawiki to something insanely difficult, this is the only fix for the horrible spam problems there. Here's my suggestion from the PM I sent you on August 23: Thanks.

Are audio components the same in CC and GC Pandoras?

P.S. ED, if you're reading this, please read the PM I sent you a little while ago. There are serious spam problems on the Pandorawiki that will only be solved by making it more difficult to register an account.

Are audio components the same in CC and GC Pandoras?

I added the "volume wheel crackles" defect to the Pandorawiki's "Hardware defects" article: http://pandorawiki.org/Hardware_defects I have this issue as well (among a host of others... to be honest, I was planning to send in my Pandora for RMAing long ago but have had intermittent issues...

    Release New Website 1.0

It looks snazzy. Though yes, the emulator links don't seem to work. I do agree with notaz's points. The links to the wiki and repo could be painlessly added in the "Open OS & Active Community Forums" section, under the "Community driven development and support" heading. I also agree with...

    Prometheus: WTF ?!??!

Sorry to see you go, Prometheus. To be honest, I feared this might happen when you agreed to be recruited at this forum rather than staying at GP32X. I haven't really been around in some months (busy) and I'm very sorry to see the mutual dislike between Craig and the Pandora's most important...

What do people think of the 1ghz Pandas?

Hi... I just thought I'd stop lurking and chime in to say that I find your post to be rather strange. I don't see how it is preferable that the makers of a console need another job to actually support themselves. Seems to me like that is a big part of the reason why things have moved so slowly...

Bad games that are actually good.

Star Control 3 by Legend Entertainment (published by Accolade) Everybody in the Star Control community loves to hate on the game because it followed the brilliant second installment and was made by different developers, but I think it's a pretty fun game in its own right. They changed a lot of...

"Games that made you buy the console" thread

I can only think of one. Gameboy - Pokemon All other consoles I bought only long after they already had a big catalogue of games (or no catalogue at all, as in the case of the Pandora). But Pokemon was being played by most people I knew in school, so I obviously needed to get a Gameboy.

The Pirate Bay offers workaround in UK

The European Pirate Party released a book last week. It's a good book. I read it in 2 days. It's not nearly as boring as you'd imagine a book about copyright to be, and I think it's a good read for anyone involved in the arts (and perhaps others as well). A lot of the arguments that you guys are...

Release White Butterfly and Excellent Bifurcation

A few problems with the new White Butterfly that I noticed (not sure if it affected the older one or not). The high scores are reset every time I start it. And I have to reselect the action keys every time, too.

Release White Butterfly and Excellent Bifurcation

I finished Excellent Bifurcation on "easy" yesterday. It's a much shorter game than I expected, actually. I guess I'll try it on the harder difficulty levels later on. I kinda wish that Garden of Coloured Lights allowed me to start at the beginning of later levels like EB does. And sorry, I...

Release SuperZaxxon - Beta 4 released

Concerning ZRAM: Will this mean that it will be possible (for example) to record audio in Audacity, and if I go over the RAM limit it will keep recording and won't freeze? How big can this virtual RAM get, and what happens if I run out of space on my SD card while using it?

Release White Butterfly and Excellent Bifurcation

Thank you! Yes, I find it much more playable that way. I understand that not everyone will agree though, so a dialogue at the start allowing a choice between "800x480 (fullscreen)", "600x480 (original width)" and "480x480 (original aspect ratio)" would be ideal.

    Release Garden Of Coloured Lights

@Fusion_Power, I tried rRootage today... I must say I was disappointed and a bit bored. It was quite polished, yes, and the graphics were superficially a bit similar, but it seemed to consist of a neverending series of ever-harder boss battles, or rather the same boss but a bit harder every...
