Split: Solar power and the Pandora

I'm going to assume a lot of pandora users spend a lot of time carrying their pandora around in a bag or case when they're not using it. You know those nice little plastic boxes Pandora batteries come in? Might be better to make them slightly bigger and fit in a coil and magnet, and when the...

    Misc Pandora Spares (UK)

I fried my first pandora by inserting the battery while the charger was plugged in. It won't power on even if I wire directly into the board. I also stripped the screws when I took it apart. I have no idea what parts of it work and what parts don't. I assume the screen is fine. I'll sell either...

    The Caring Corner :)

You have done practically nothing in this thread other than complain about the behaviour of others and attempt to position yourself as 'better' than everyone else. 'Zombie', 'apes' and so on are terms you've typically used. It's a pretty clear argument when I tell you that others are not the...

    The Caring Corner :)

Actually, I'm not wrong. You are. You're the one with the deficiency here. Ever heard of Temple Grandin? Your behaviour is that of an animal, tiresome and predictable. You are not special, clever or interesting. You are broken.

    German Working Culture

Whenever someone mentions Germans working I can't help but think of the amazing safety video Klaus the forklift driver: https://www.youtube.com/embed/-oB6DN5dYWo?feature=oembed

    The Caring Corner :)

Ah well you see there's the thing, you don't know it already. You may be aware of it, but you do not understand it. The problem is not other people, it's you. Perhaps you should consider than in order to accurately communicate with you most people have to limit their scope, where if you were to...

    The Caring Corner :)

Klumpen, there is a subtelty and (to you) what seems like ambiguity to how most people interpret, interact and communicate with each other that you are not eqiupped to understand. While you may be exhasperated with 80% of people "reading between the lines" and trying to add an extra dimension of...

Munich may drop Linux and return to Windows

Yeah, Windows 7 is unrivaled as the operating system for a single-user consumer set up. Nothing comes close. Even if you were to consider OSX a credible alternative Windows beats it on the sheer amount of software available alone. That said, it's definitely unusual that a goverment agency would...

Bricked Pandora (won't even power on)

While it's still under warranty, it was bought 2nd hand privately.

Bricked Pandora (won't even power on)

Well, I can't even get it open. A 2 screws came out fine but the rest I've nearly stripped the heads on trying to get them out. I'm just going to have to assume its faulty or I bricked it, there's no LEDs or anything and it stopped working when the firmware flash stopped halfway through. Anyone...

Bricked Pandora (won't even power on)

I'll see if I can borrow one, I know someone who'd likely have one. Is it possible that if I disassembed the entire unit I could directly attach some sort of bench power supply? I'm not sure how exactly to go about it but would that sort of thing be possible?

Bricked Pandora (won't even power on)

To clarify, is it ok to put the battery in when its off and closed with the charger in? Because thats what I did, I didn't put the battery in and out while powered on with the charger.

Bricked Pandora (won't even power on)

So I take it there's nothing else I can do? It's pretty much dead for good?

Bricked Pandora (won't even power on)

No. I've reinserted the battery while the DC jack is plugged in before too, is that really enough to cause damage?

Bricked Pandora (won't even power on)

Ok thanks for the help, I'll leave it overnight and hopefully it'll trickle up enough to boot.

Bricked Pandora (won't even power on)

At this point I think my best bet is assuming its a power issue and my battery has fully discharged. The poor documentation is an issue I hope they address with the Pyra. If I were to assume there was a problem with my charger or ports, how would I charge it by USB or know it was charging? I'm...

    Scratch

I wouldn't call scratch a game creation system. It's good for teaching the very basics of programming concepts. But it's really not good for anything other than that.

Bricked Pandora (won't even power on)

Perhaps this will help in regards to what I mean about the battery. Apologies for the low resolution but when I say it's not square this is what I mean: http://imgur.com/tIPzkjK There's an uneven gap and its not at right angles.

Bricked Pandora (won't even power on)

It's got the foam pads and as I say, it worked fine for a while. I really think I bricked it with the messed up reflash. There's literally no indication thats its getting power of any sort; it doesn't even get mildly warm no matter what I do to it. It's a Pandora 1002, 1ghz edition if that helps?
