    No prototypes for GamesCom, but a Wifi Chip and a Pyra in the dark!

    I don't, currently - but supporting 5GHz Wifi certainly is the more future-proof variant, seeing how residential areas are spammed by competing access points by now. Also, the 2.4GHz spectrum gets polluted by lots of stuff Wifi is ill prepared for - even USB3 data transfers...

    The 1000-traces-puzzle

    I really don't know why people continue to bring up the Allwinner stuff - did you have a look at http://linux-sunxi.org/Linux_mainlining_effortand http://linux-sunxi.org/Mainline_Kernel_Howto (or http://linux-sunxi.org/GPL_Violations, for that matter)? Except if you want to run some hacked up...

    angstrom repo

    Seems like a temporary problem (http://wp.angstrom-distribution.org/feed-server-down-were-working-on-it/) - but I assumed that the openpandora.org - feed contains the same packages as Angstrom? Or does it just have the Pandora-specific files?

    wifi driver + kernel updated - please test

    That looks even better than before. PNDmanager on my Pandora is currently downloading the big LibreOffice update file, showing consistent 500-600K/sec (which is about the expected max on my DSL line). That's with the "new beahviour". Btw., a couple of months ago, Linus wrote about a patch that...

    Tapatalk

    That's wrong. When the "Trending Email Program" feature is active, the Tapatalk plugin pulls data about all forum users, not just those that use Tapatalk (they have that data from the client anyway)...

    making use of the touchpad on a bluetooth keyboard?

    Yeah, it has a FN key combination that can supposedly be used to enable and disable the touchpad - but when I press that, the actual key is sent to the computer instead of triggering the function (FN as such works with other key combinations). I've contacted the support of the keyboard company...

    making use of the touchpad on a bluetooth keyboard?

    Ah well... As it turns out, the touchpad might be defective. Doesn't work under Windows either, even though the device is being detected.

    making use of the touchpad on a bluetooth keyboard?

    Hrm. Doesn't show up as a device in the XFCE mouse settings, despite being listed by xinput...

    making use of the touchpad on a bluetooth keyboard?

    So I have this bluetooth keyboard with touchpad that I bought to use with a tablet. Why not connect it to the Pandora? Surprisingly, this mostly works - using slaeshjag's kblayout pnd, I can switch to a standard german keyboard layout (will need some minor adjustments to be perfect, and I have...

    Release Pale Moon

    Sorry I didn't follow up on your question for more details, was quite busy recently. But seeing your debug post I probably wouldn't have been able to add much of use anyway :) No problems with build 8 up to now.

    Release Pale Moon

    Hrm, 25.3 constantly crashes on me. First thought it was happening on a certain web site, but just now I had the same crash while using the addon manager. From dmesg: [ 1454.108184] Alignment trap: not handling instruction f46407dd at [<41ff9738>] [ 1454.108306] Unhandled fault: alignment...

    Release Pale Moon

    When I first read over the exception in point 8, I thought it would probably not apply... But depending on your build configuration, it might work after all, and everything is fine as is: ...but I'm no license expert, and I find the details of this one mildly confusing.

    Release Pale Moon

    Since I switched to Pale Moon on my Windows systems too & read up on some stuff on their forums and web page, I just stumbled over the redistribution license page, which sais: ...so it seems the Pandora build should use the New Moon branding, or get a "contributed build" approval from the...

    wifi driver + kernel updated - please test

    Wireless seems fine for me (Rebirth)... Just pulled a couple of updates with PNDManager and the transfer rate stayed pretty stable - before, it usually was wildly fluctuating over time. On a different note - I know it's not a kernel thing, but did something change witch modeswitching for...

    Can you increase the virtual resolution of the screen?

    Heh, just wanted to point out that Xorg used to have a Virtual statement in the Screen section... But that's what you are doing already... As you say, horizontal panning totally doesn't work on the Pandora - screen is wrapped on the border instead (might be XFCEs fault). While Ctrl+Alt+(Num+)...

    C/C++ Development tools v2

    Whoops, sorry - yes, it does. Thank you! I was getting an error with the repo I was testing that on, and just assumed it was the same was before. In reality, I had a network connection problem.

    C/C++ Development tools v2

    I see no obvious problems with the new version. Is there anything special to look out for? http transport for svn is still on my whishlist :)
