Efficient Agenda and Organizer for the Pandora ?

Mindmapping: MM/LX ("MindMap/LX"). This was a software project I myself also worked on, especially enhancing it with powerful HTML export, so that MM/LX could even be used to create entire websites. http://www.dasoft.com/MMLX/ Outlining: The PE text editor, that had Outlining features. Also a...

Efficient Agenda and Organizer for the Pandora ?

Not quite. In my opinion the HP 200LX was the most advanced. However Psion 5MX and HP 200LX were quite similar in their capabilities, however, had very different advantages due to their totally different OSes: Psion with its EPOC, the HP with MS-DOS 5.0. Looks interesting. I like those text-mode...

    Microphone usage with ALSA?

Thanks, guys, for the explanation. I'll continue to try to make it work. Btw: What's meant by "external" microphone? I only know about one built-in microphone (that's problably imic). The EXT connector has Audio Line-In, which can certainly be used for a microphone, too, but those are two...

Efficient Agenda and Organizer for the Pandora ?

Those look like Psion...? :-) The best one ever made was PIM/PE, a text editor / plain text file based PIM suite, with an add-on GUI. Incredibly flexible, incredibly efficient due to short commands and text in the text file which controlled the behavior (instead of lengthy GUI actions)... For...

Efficient Agenda and Organizer for the Pandora ?

I've written a port request posting for kdepim/pi here: http://boards.openpandora.org/index.php/topic/13610-port-request-kdepimpi-pim-suite/

    Microphone usage with ALSA?

..and how? :-) Please excuse my ignorance. I have not used alsa-lib before, nor did I write code on that level for sound card control yet. "having two channels" - do you mean the application must use 2 channels, not 1, for the Pandora's microphone?

    Microphone usage with ALSA?

thanks... my .asoundrc does not contain the microphone records at all. I wonder why yours has "channels" set to 2 for the mic records. Can you do a short test for me?  Load the PND I posted before, start Lingot, go into preferences and enter "hw:0,1" into the device field for ALSA, then hit...

    Port request: "KDEPIM/PI" PIM suite

This was a very comprehensive and efficient PIM suite on the Sharp Zaurus, see also my recent posting here: http://boards.openpandora.org/index.php/topic/13253-efficient-agenda-and-organizer-for-the-pandora/page-2#entry256247 I could not make it compile on the Pandora yet, however, I am not an...

    "Default Browser" on Pandora?

Hi guys, there does nto seem to be a working "Default browser" configuration by default. Any application using the system's "execute" API with a web URL, which normally opens the default browser in the system with that URL, simply fails on the Pandora. Also, URLs in the Xfce terminal emulator...

Efficient Agenda and Organizer for the Pandora ?

I'd like to bring the great PIM suite "KDEPIM/PI" into the game again. Appointment book, todo management, contacts, a password manager and even some simple Outlook sync was included! This was a great solution running on Sharp Zaurus, Linux and Windows. I was not successful to compile it for...

    Microphone usage with ALSA?

oh. in case you like to try yourself: Here is my current PND of Lingot (unpatched code). Use Ctrl-P (Preferences) to configure audio. Lingot.pnd

    Microphone usage with ALSA?

Hi guys, I want to port a program to the Pandora. It uses Microphone input using OSS, JACK or ALSA. My guess was, that ALSA is the best choice, so I disabled JACK support and am now trying to configure ALSA. However, it doesn't work. Maybe someone can help? I can successfully record audio...

Idea: PXML enhancement to define TV-Out type (main layer or overlay)

For i) (TV-Out not already on) I'd not do nothing, but instead write the desired setting to some /tmp File, and as soon as TV-Out is activated, the TV-Out script grabs that value and uses it. Using pnd_run is a good idea, I think.

Idea: PXML enhancement to define TV-Out type (main layer or overlay)

Hi Jeff, but don't we need a trigger? How should the TV-Out script know, when to look for a setting, and in which PXML? I thought this is wht libpnd should do here: trigger setting change (if necessary), when the user starts a PND.

Idea: PXML enhancement to define TV-Out type (main layer or overlay)

Yes, my thought was also that those tags should eb optional. Sorry, should have mentioned that. Another was to handle it could be: If tag does not exist, assume main layer (or overlay?). (I actually don't know which is better. What is used more often? It seems to me that the newer emulator...

Idea: PXML enhancement to define TV-Out type (main layer or overlay)

Hi guys,   it happens often to me, that I don't remember, which kind of TV-Out I have to use for a specific application, game or emulator. Especially if you only occasionally use a program, remembering may be hard.   So what about a PXML specification and pndlib implementation...

TV Out Cable: Time to Mass produce! (2013-06-22)

I like to carry a TV connection cable with me into hotels, for example, because I can then simply connect the Pandora to the hotel room's TV and watch a movie stored on the Pandora (or possible play games, although I didn't do that yet). Hence I prefer light TV cables. :-)

TV Out Cable: Time to Mass produce! (2013-06-22)

Wow, great! I'm looking forward to try those cables. But please serve all other preorderers first, since I have made my own cable that works well for me, too. Suggestion: Since most standard A/V cables that you can use for the purpose of connecting the new TV-Out cable to a TV are quite...

    Annoyance of Tapatalk messages.. (split)

For those who want to use their phones for posting: There are still phones out there that have a real hardware keyboard. For example the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro, or the XPeria Mini Pro, which I prefer, because it's really really small and the keyboard is very well usable after some time to get...

You mean replacing the signature with something like "Signature removed, because it advertised the great app 'Tapatalk', that can be downloaded [here]"? :D
