I have the impression, though, that the more people are talking about their preferred DE the less productive they are. (Is this a grammaticatically correct sentence? Please excuse my English if it isn't.)
Well an OS can be implemented in a way making it use more resources than needed for a given use case. E.g. the spyware in some popular OSs is probably not a core requirement of most users, but it still uses resources that could be spent elsewhere. IMO that qualifies as bloat. Abstraction layers...
I'm not sure that
deserves such praise. It would at least have been interesting (and relatively easy) to test whether screen tearing that seems to be a common issue with intel's drivers is noticeable on this system (e.g. on a composited desktop, when playing a video or a OpenGL/Vulkan game).
I seem to remember that the QJackCtl pnd will install a libjack version to NAND that is not compatible with the rest of the system libraries (using a different compiler version), but I thought Canseco had fixed that.
Fun to lose means that even losing rewards the player (e.g. with a cutscene or some interesting information) and doesn't force her to do something that isn't fun (e.g. by having saves or interesting levels with replay value). But all of this is highly subjective, I think.
Sorry for grave digging this branch of the discussion, but it might be illuminating that one of the major changes in V3 of the GPL is such a you're off the hook clause that is activated just by starting to comply with the license (any previous misbehaviour may still be the object of a lawsuit...
