    Scummvm 1.2.0

Hi Steve, Thanks for the feedback, as you surmised I did not get as many fixes into the final 1.2.0 as I would have liked :(. BASS, yep, it's a long standing but and I promise to get it nailed one of these days. FM Towns, not games that I normally test as I don't own many Town's versions but I...

    Scummvm

Glad people like it, the down-scaling is about as good as I can get it. There is really very little I can do to make the text easier to read. Feedback appreciated as always :). As for paul3100's original comments, I notice nobody seemed to have the heart to tell him he had ScummVM and DOSBox...

    Scummvm 1.2.0

I expect your just missing the OGG audio pack for the cut scenes. The Caanoo does not support FLAC audio in the 1.2.0 release and the downloadable cut scene packs default to FLAC audio for the sword games. Download it from...

    Scummvm 1.2.0

The Caanoo release was a few days late (sorry about that, a few personal things got in the way) but I have got it up now and you can get it from the main ScummVM downloads page with all the other release. As for Gabriel Knight, correct, it is not supported in 1.2.0. Support for it will come in...

Release Scummvm: “1.2.0 Preview 1” For The Openpandora.

A zip of the whole appdata/scummvm folder would be great if you have it ;). Either way, I hope its not a bug as 1.2.0 is cast in stone now.

Release Scummvm: “1.2.0 Preview 1” For The Openpandora.

Not sure what got messed up. My guess would be something in the extraction or pathing of the engine plugins, maybe a config file in appdata that was bad (each new release is setup to pull in the config of older released if you just update the .PND). Glad it's working now anyway. I take it you...

Release Scummvm: “1.2.0 Preview 1” For The Openpandora.

Very interested, can you post them as comments to the GPH release thread or blog post? (so I keep track as the GPH devices all share code, the OP backend is another set of code all together). Also interested if you can show steps to reproduce issues and note if they occur on the desktop versions...

Release Scummvm: “1.2.0 Preview 1” For The Openpandora.

Thanks, Any bugs to report? It's getting close to the cut off point for the 1.2.0 release and I have hit the point where just about every obvious bug I spotted has been squashed, that said my testing time is limited so if anyone has spotted anything now is the time to let me know ;). John

Using Custom Cursors In Sdl Windows Without Touchscreen Issues

Using custom cursors in fullscreen X11 SDL windows without touchscreen drifting/grabbing issues. Not sure if this post is of use to anybody but I recently posted up a work around for the custom cursor/touchscreen issues some people see in SDL apps. Details are on my site...

Release Scummvm: “1.2.0 Preview 1” For The Openpandora.

Some of the cinematic scenes are not scaled to the full screen anyway (such as logos), that is by design and how the original game also worked. That said, are you using DXA? MP2 (well actually they are not supported any more) or the original Smacker (off the CD) cut scenes? The only other...

Release Scummvm: “1.2.0 Preview 1” For The Openpandora.

If your using the PND it defaults to 'pandora/appdata/scummvm/saves' or you can just redirect it to suit your needs. Your config file is also stored in the appdata/scummvm folder.

Release Scummvm: “1.2.0 Preview 1” For The Openpandora.

No, not unless the game originally worked with that aspect ratio (so scales to 800*480 1:1). I do not support scaling games in a non liner fashion. Sorry, that's just the way it is, at the moment I scale the screen 1:1 to get close to full screen. If someone wants to hack in a non 1:1 scaler...

Release Scummvm: “1.2.0 Preview 1” For The Openpandora.

Hey Hitnrun, can you try adding the same set of games (or just KQ IV) to the desktop ScummVM (*nix, Windows etc. will do) via both 'Mass Add' and 'Add Game'. I make no changes to the game detection engine in the backend so it's likely that there is an issue either with your files (are they...

Release Scummvm: “1.2.0 Preview 1” For The Openpandora.

Sorry this preview release has come out so much later then the ones for the GPH devices but real life can be a bitch ;). Anyway, http://blogs.distant-earth.com/wp/?p=132 has all the details and downloads and http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/OpenPandora shows the control options that are new in...

Scummvm: 1.2.0 Preview 1 For Gph Devices.

I'll try and look into it, with so many engines testing takes ages and bugs like this one slip under the radar. I have completed BASS so many times I tend to just check it runs, and not go much further :0. This bug will most likely not be a quick one to solve as the code is pretty standard so...
