Mp3 Players

ive owned philips, sony and apple player and the ipod is still the winner. The clickwheel does it for me, navigating songs is so easy. The sony was okay, but navigating was a pain and the software was unbelievably poor. Same goes for the philips really, althoguh it was a bit chunky for my likeing.

ipod all the way. iTunes is a dream compared to most of the other peices of crap around.

i've got a zen vision m for some reason mainly because downloaded movies dont need re-encoding and its tv out is a decent 640x480 as opposed to the ipods 320x240. Its alot thicker than an ipod though so its a bit of trade off. If your after a good working custom equaliser you cant go wrong the radio also seems very good but i live in a city so reception is always strong finally battery life is pretty good longer than what they claim by quite a bit. You can also view your music collection by album art which is a nice gimmick but the best thing is being able to choose the starting letter of an artist/album when looking through your music (like on the rio karma) this seriously speeds up getting round artists. If your after pure music listening though and your not fussed about having a custom equaliser then i'd definitely get an ipod.

Are there any higher capacity (5GB+) mp3 players that run off of AA batteries or have longer battery life? (longer=20 hours +)

EDIT: The one that iignotus mentioned looks good, but it only goes up to 2GB

iaudio 6 is only 4gb but has 20 hours battery life any of the -L versions of their 20gb players should have about 20 hours battery life i haven't checked though. You could get an old really cheap zen touch i think they have a 24 hour battery life!
