I have an openpandora :: 1Ghz edition.

What kind of options do I have for a repair?

The right shoulder button is the problem. There is no triggering mechanism on the board. ( purchased used ) The screws have been beat on ( partially my fault ) which inhibits easy acces to it's board.

In " what kind of " options " " what I specifically meant = could the fix be a service available?

The screws you could fix yourself, by replacing them. There are enough tips to get broken screws out.

The triggers might be fixed if you are creative, but maybe ED offers repairs. From feedback I've seen on the forums this service can be very slow, so might not be recommended.

Getting a broken or a 2nd hand Pandora might be quicker way to get stuff working: https://pyra-handheld.com/boards/threads/pandora-rebirth-edition-for-sale.100062/
The 1GHz version board should fit in the other shells, including screws, if there are more issues. If you are handy with a soldering iron you can transplant a switch to.
Probably the fastest but most expensive option.

There is seemingly remnants of the trigger. . Possibly all of it. I'm just shy to think too far ahead seeing as how I can't access the board b u t. Question : are the triggers modeled after another system? If I needed a fresh one that would make it easier. How many prongs was it to solder down?

This is a picture of the PCB. I guess your 'tactile push button' (labeled SW9) might be broken, as seen in the top right. I don't know the part number, does anyone know if there is a complete parts list for the Pandora?

There have been issues in the past where the casing was to tight and just loosening the screw would fix the trigger from not working.
If the screw is stripped there are tricks that might work, like adding a rubber band on top of the screw driver or to use some glue, but I've not tried those myself so I don't know which works best in your situation.

According to the datasheet from Digikey, the part numbers mean this:
KT11 - this line of switches
P2 - hard actuator, 2.36 mm travel
SA3M - Right angle with pick & place tab
3 - 3 (?)
5 - gold plated
LFG - RoHS compliant and compatible. Gold plated

So it looks like it is compatible
