But that's totally incomparable! In the 80 SMB was a hot thing and a commodore 64 was a popular platform with millions units in the wild. Now it's just a curiosity for a bunch of maniacs that fiddle with devices not in production for over 25 years.
And speaking of Giana Sisters - You'll never...
Well, one of them has problem with the trigger button. Whole button is physically skewed to the side so it could be a broken part or at least something snapped out of it's usual place. I think In the end I will have to take it apart, the thing is, it's at least partially working (if you push the...
I'm looking for a replacement for my over 25 year old DB-9 Joysticks for Commodore. The thing is, over the years I got used to fighter-jet- inspired controllers. I mean:
- reasonably ergonomic handle
- trigger-like fire button under index finger
Nice to have features: autofire, additional button...
I don't think more than one batch was ever built. If you don't mind second hand unit I might consider selling mine. It's barely used and I haven't turn it on for more than a year. I'll need to check whetjer it's still working though. This little guy deserves more love than I can afford.

OK, I might have made made a hasty assumption.

I have bought C64 with slightly broken filters on my sid. On simple "syntetic" tests I wrote or typed from the internet it works just fine. You can't notice the failure on many games, but on some cases music sounds lice crap.
There's a swinSID project, not sure if you can buy one out of shelf...
I'm glad theres something happening in the motherboard area. However my experience is that some chips, esp. VIC-II, SID and CIA are the ones that are most fragile. Unformtunately they couldn't be fixed and the only replacement option is canibalising other units.
Well, I got myself into Star Trek Attack Wing and Wizkids has been releasing new expansions like crazy. I tried to restrain myself but ended up buying 17 out of 30 additional ships out there. Fortunately they slowed down releasing new models recently. The good thing is we have a group that plays...
It works like this where I live but I've always thought that in US one can waive his rights and declare a work to be in Public Domain.Well, IANIAL as well.
