    Befriended by Nintendo

Thanks for the instructions of how to remove people as friends - bit odd that you don't get to accept / refuse it when the request is made tbh! (He also friended me when his name was SONY, which was distinctly creepier.)

[SOLVED - Faulty SD-install, no actual issue] Keyboard is playing up?

Thanks Stan, worked perfectly. Yep, turns out this is an issue with my SD install - going to post on their topic to see if anyone else has seen it. Both op_test_inputs and booting the NAND install showed the inputs to be exactly as expected. Thanks!

[SOLVED - Faulty SD-install, no actual issue] Keyboard is playing up?

Hey, I am really confused by this error/issue, but I'll put it out here in the hopes that someone can help. When typing on my pandora, it seems to think I'm pressing ctrl and shift on every other key input. I'm running HF5 on a SD install. I have *no* idea how to diagnose this better...

    "Recipes" on git.openpandora.org

Oh awesome! Thank you double7, that's a great help! I'll definitely be making use of that :) Thank you, seems this is exactly the post I was looking for! Thanks double7 and EvilDragon :) Will post again if I find problems but I think that might just be everything I needed! :D

    "Recipes" on git.openpandora.org

So given that we have a recipe, can I use that to install to a currently running Pandora OS? (that is, does it / can it work like a package manager install?) Is there some tool or script to do so? Or would I have to add it to a firmware image to be built and compile my own? Thanks ED...

    "Recipes" on git.openpandora.org

Hey all, I was hoping someone could enlighten me on this; I've looked at the file in question an it doesn't register as anything I recognise. I also searched the Pandora Wiki and done a little preliminary googling but nothing turned up yet :) What are the recipes on the...

    Typing in Japanese?

Okay, so I found something interesting, which I hope someone can tell me how to use :) On git.openpandora.org I found this: openembedded.git / recipes / scim / What's a recipe? And how does one use it? If that actually turns out to be no good - then there are a few alternatives...

    Typing in Japanese?

Thanks, good to know they're preconfigured. Attempted an sudo opkg update Got some download errors. Some succeeded, though. sudo opkg list | grep scim gives no results, though. Going to have to search for exact package names after getting an update to work without errors, but I'll...

    Typing in Japanese?

Oh, that's pretty neat! Space isn't an issue for me, I'm booting the PandOS from SD anyway. Is there any guidance for adding the Angstrom repos to my Pandora so I can try installing it? :) I'll pick up Kanjipad, if only to mess about with when learning stroke orders. Thanks for the rec...

    Typing in Japanese?

Okay, either I'm failing hard at google-fu again or there isn't an answer out there yet. I've looked up on the forums, both here and gp2x, on the wiki, and on Google - can't see any instructions of how to type in Japanese on the Pandora. I've seen several references to SCIM, but I can't find...

Booting from SD card, OS freezes?

Thanks Mario, hadn't seen that. Will try it tonight. It's not ideal (I'd rather copy the OS I have on NAND than download a whole new image) but if it works then I'll gladly take it :) Will try it and report back! EDIT: Tried that, Mario... seems to work perfectly! Thanks for the...

Booting from SD card, OS freezes?

Hi all, Following the instructions here: http://pandorawiki.org/Running_Linux_from_an_SD_card I had one for HF4 which worked fine; when I patched it to HF5 it booted fully, then froze immediately afterward. I tried recopying, which had the same issues. I checked + altered the boot.txt as...

Japanese / German special character input on Pandora?

Thanks for the info on German special characters. I'll try it :) Any word on ß? Maybe there's somewhere we can look these up? Ouch. That's a bit weird, kanji but no kana. I'll look into that. There's no Microsoft IME-style software for Pandora yet then? Surely there must be some solution...
