Gp32 On Gamezville Sky1 Now

i remember violet from an old games show "bad influence" i think it was on the bbc in the early 90's with some tosser who's name i forget. now that was a half decent show unlike this gamesville crap (im sure those guys are rejects from the muppets) as i recall she even got her own character in some of the micro machines games

that tosser "whos name you forgot" is now her husband, and is director of Wizbang, the company who produce the TV program shes host of (wow, what are the chances of that! lol)

bumped into him a while ago, but a fight almost broke out when it turned out a mate was one of voilets ex's :p anyway, from what i remember they called him Gaz Top, i expect thats just a nickname tho.

Gareth Jones is his name.

I met Violet a few years ago when i apeared on one of the games shows she fronted (Head to Head) in case any of you remember it. She is a great person and does have a mass gaming knowledge the only chick i have met that knows more about games than i do.

I was lucky enough to switch on the TV just as the GP32 feature was starting, but I wasn't so impressed. Standard Gamezville reviewing...

"Yeah Daz, this looks well mint! We give it a respectable 4 out of 5 G's! Wicked!"

It reminds me of Bad Influence, where the kids would review the games and mark them down because they 'Don't like playing with a joystick'. You just have to remind yourself that these shows are aimed at a younger audience.

Gamer TV, on the other hand, is a decent show. Simple, informative and well presented. Game-pad is another show worth watching, if you can withstand the awful writing. I still miss Thumb Candy/Bandits and Gamesmaster, though :(

I was gonna mention head to head. I remember the ol' days when it was on TCC and she had freaky white (or maybe silver) spikey hair. Never found her hot back then. They kept on repeating the same episodes and I got sick of it.

Gamesmaster is being repeated on ChallengeTV at around 8/9pm ish and 4am or so every now and then.

I fecking HATE Ga(y)mezVille. At least on the other shows, they use respectable English and grammar. "Yeah this is well mint," is not how the English language is meant to be spoken. I know things change over time but for Christ's sake, be proud of your native tongue and learn how to use it properly.

The only good point about GamezVille are the mobile phone game reviews. I used to be into Mobile Phone gaming, before I branched out into X-Box emulators, GP32 and GBA stuff in the last year.

It was Andy Crane, who can now be seen doing crappy shows on Challenge TV.

I think Violet is hot. Should there be a poll on this? :)

Gamesmaster was just the best. Was Domink Diamond credited with bringing the term "Pants" into the English language? (a euphemism for describing things as rubbish)

The guys on GAMEZVILLE are tossers. They get a kid to play a game, the kid says he doesnt like it because its got bad gameplay, kid gives it 2 "Gs", then Daz, or that other one, or the pretend hippy with the dreads and the kids voice say "Well i think it looks nice so I'm gonna give this one 5 Gs.

What the hells the point of any one being there if the dont listen to em

as i recall she even got her own character in some of the micro machines games

Yep she was in Micro Machines 2

Hehe - yeah - I remember Violet Berlin with the spikey hair.

WahaY! Gareth Jones (aka Gaz Top). Anyone remember him in Saturday morning bollocks 'ghost train?' (I think it was that one...). Another Welsh bloke :)

Here are the happy couple....

Yeah - he's like a load of the other former children's presenters who've gone into production - made more money without having to make as much of a tit of themselves....

Other ex children's tv show presenters made richby going the other side of the camera ... Christopher Lillicrap (WHO let him on TV with a name like that!), Andy Peters (the one who started the 'Camp' thing for male Children's TV presenters), Andy Crane (didn;t do so well and ended up presenting travel shows and shopping channels :p).

Hehe - man - I love being a child of the 80s (born in '77).

Just so you know Andy Crane has not been on Challenge (not Challenge TV) for about 3 years.
