VBA not actually A?
Think this is the only GB emulator that SUPPOSEDLY emulates the GBA aswell.
After actually finding 3 GBA files to run on it, none of them work. Which kinda sucks, so has anyone actually got any GBA roms running on it?
I tried Golden Sun 1+2 and FFTactics...

Also on that platform game (cant remember the name) kind of anime style where you have to kill guards etc, how do you do anything other than run fast :p looks kewl though. Also what features does the full Blood Cross game have over the 2nd demo?...

I don't think it was ever intended to be a GBA emulator, it was just using the VBA source to emulate GB, and the author tried to make this clear when it was originally released so that he wouldn't be bombarded with emails saying "Why doesn't Advance Wars work?" etc.

For GBA emulation, we are just going to have to wait and see what happens with GP Advance.

LOL thanx, but also, with my gameboy savegames, none of them work :S with either VBA or the other emu i have, i definetly used one of those two to save the games though, any help?

fGB is a great emulator of GB and it supports save states as well as saves. The only down side of it is that it gives strange filenames to the saves such as F8A00B54.SAV so it is not obvious which save file is for your game. Also, if you add a new game to your GB directory, the names for each save change so your existing saves are no longer loaded next time you use the emulator.

GPVGB is also an excellent GB emulator (I think the 'test' version is the latest) and this also supports in game saves although not save states. I think for GPVGB, the game saves need to have the same name as the ROM, so ZELDA.GBC has a save state called ZELDA.SAV. I haven't used GPVGB in a while though, so can't remember much more.

I temulated every 4 mb rom ive tried. It is slow, thats true but mainly because it is not optimised and also it goes full screen what slows emulation down as hell. Anyway i havent found a way to switch to normal view.

I think my GP32 has some hate of GameBoy emulators. Not one of the ones that has been mention on this site works well.
Every version of GPVGB I've tried just shows a load of gibberish whenever I run it and then gives a big feking error messgae when I click on anything.
fGB is the same and VBA only runs a few games properly :( :(

I've been using GPVGB and haven't had the probs you mentioned. I haven't tried a huge range of games mind. I've spent several hours playing Zelda Oracle Of Ages and that's been great (a few graphical glitches but nothing drastic enough to spoil the gameplay).

MAybe it is not a emu fault but your roms ? Try to unzip them and then play them in unizpped form. I had similar issue. Any of my roms didnt play. I've bugged Rlyeh and sent him my roms to investigate. And the reason (in my case) was different pack method (i used total commander ot zip my roms). After i rezipped them with winzip every rom worked ok.
