Before i got my wonderful GP32 i had an N-gage.
this got stolen from me, but instead of replacing it i bought the GP32.
Anyway i was just wondering if anybody is working on an N-gage emu or is the GP32 just not powerful enough?

Hi
So to be friendly as much as possible : NO, NEVER, NEVER AGAIN
Theres already a lot of good emu for good console.
btw : some topics are already speaking about that...
Just seach aroud those to make up your mind...
(No PSX, XBOX, N64, PS2, P IV, :p,, ...)

see you

Thanx 4 that i was just asking u know just to be sure

ho hum

Why would you want to play N-Gage games when you have a GP32?

...I bet even the thief was disappointed...

I Quite liked super monkey ball, but ur right, The GP32 Rocks Hardest

<OT>Actually I am working on an x86 emu right now.... It can emulate a 160GB HD (super compression onto SMC) 1GB RAM (compression onto RAM) and it goes at about the speed of a P4 3GhZ w/ HT (GP32 still clocked @ only 133MhZ).... But you see, I can't release it because I like it soooooo much that I want it to be only mineeeeeeeee!!!!</OT>

I don't think that you'd actually need to emulate the N-Gage... AFAIK all the games are really java games that will run on any java enabled thingy (or something like java), except that they are encrypted. And the encryption has been cracked :) So if there was a good jvm for the GP32, then mabye you could play N-Gage games

Here are the steps to make your own x86 emu (I still don't want to give mine away):

1. Get a P4 3GHZ comp w/ 160GB HD & 1GB RAM
2. Get a screen video capture program
3. Capture some video from the game/app you want to use
4. Compress it w/ VDub
5. Upload it to GP32 & run in GPCinema!!!
6. Praise me for finding a simple six step way to emulate a powerfull P4 comp :D

Oh, and I forgot to do this *moved*

Don't quote me on this, but a Super Monkey Ball type of game is very much possible with mithris engine (the physics just need some adjustments). But right now we (or better he is) are busy doing the Rally game, but after that...
But as I said, don't get your hopes up too high.

I just got one for £80 on pay as you go and I'm rather happy with it. A symbian phone for that price is good in my book even if it does look a little bizaar

Why would you want to port an emulator of a system with only 4 playable games?

True I suppose. The N-Gage has few decent commercial games - but then the GP32 has been out for how long? And how many decent commercial games are there? The Series 60 apps save the N-Gage from being crap just like the homebrew stuff saves the GP32 from being crap.
