I'm looking for all around functionality (good speed, preferably sound, savestates optional, and good compaitability) What's the best one? (Sorry to bug you all with such dumb questions over the past 2 days)

damn how often did we had this.... why not make a sticky with all the best (only!) emus for many systems.... so newbs stop asking this.

I prefer GBVSGP, actually. I find the speed more stable (fGB changes speed all the time from scene to scene, you can hear the music slowing down.)

never lost any saves in fgb, but my sonic saves in fsms delete theirselves all the time, really F##kin annoyin

where can i get the "GBVSGP" ? i'd love to try it . tested the fGB32 , but i find the speed changes a bit anoying ...

Ah ok, thanks for the answers. (Have fGB on my Gp32 now, but FLU started flickering out when I loaded up wario =( batteries couldn't take the 160 MHZ stress test I put on it by playing half of super mario world...)

I lose my saves all the time on fgb :/

very annoying too as I'm a huge rpg/zelda fan.

Losing saves is not a random issue, it happens for a reason and it very easy to figure out. The saves get a seemingly random name partly based on what number they are in the alphabetic order of roms on your SMC, if that order changes, the save is lost (or not actually lost, it is still there but won't be used). So what happens is that if you get a new game and put it in your gb directory (let's use castlevania as an example), all games with the letter C and lower will lose it saves. I cannot understand why it doesn't just name the save after the game, the current system is very badly thought out.
