Nice test there.

Economic Left/Right: -7.13
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.82

That's me last year compared to this year-just really a shift to the left in economic policy. Odd, as I thought I'd drifted further to the centre over the last year honestly.

If the majority didn't vote, the crazies would start gaining power. Communism is an idea which will never work.

You are stupid.

Don't vote Sinn Fein, they're wanks.

While I believe that polical parties serve only to devide the nation, and that the vast majority of politicians are corrupt and power hungry, I took the test anyway

Economic Left/Right: -5.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.67

Not really sure what it means, but I will say that the only political label I place on myself is pacifist extremist. In other words I think that war and fighting is unmoral regardless of the circumstances and that any and all measure should be taken to disarm every country on the planet.

P.S. I am North Carolina, USA.

even more libetarian than me, you must have ben almost of the scale!

heres an interesting link

As much as I personally applaud all these measures, I think they've slit their own wrists come election time. I mean on the whole working class families are fairly conservative so the lib dems policy of civil liberties could quite easily be twisted into seeming like they were weak on terrorism/ crime which would alienate working class families and the taxs of 50% on those earning over £100,000 a year will alienate the upper and upper-middle classes.

I'll still vote for them though.

The Lib Dems are an interesting bunch. While their policies on relaxing drug laws and Labour's Terrorism bill are a step in the right direction for civil liberties, they also want to increase social security, which is a bad thing for civil liberties.

social security is a positive thing, I have several friends, who, through no fault of their own, are unable to get work social security is at the moment their livelyhood. I'm all for taxation as long as the bandwidths are fair, and I feel that the lib dem idea of demolishing council tax and introducing a local income tax is a good one.

what? since when have the working classes been conservative? urm, miners strike anyone?

civil liberties is something that the vast majority of people pick up from the paper they read, it has a little to do with class but you're just a likely to find a liberal from eton as you are from any inner city school.

£100,000 is a lot of money to be earning, i can't see that pissing off enough people to have a negative impact on votes.

the lib dems will at best find themselves in a position where their vote can have a serious impact on policy, they will never ever have power. a liberal/labour alliance is what im predicting as being the most likely outcome of this election, tony will go when the final count is issued and brown or whoever succeeds him have to make some compromises.

I was talking about the social issues NOT economic issues. I'm thinking in particular issues like immigration, homosexuality, etc.etc. on these issues the working class are definately more right-wing.

I'm all over the frickin' map on political stance,

Gay rights? They deserve the same rights as us, not more, not less.

Drugs? impossible to fight, it's like prohibition. But I don't support legalization. And impossible to fight unless you chipped everyone for blood/drug readings, and I oppose the whole big brother stance on government, so that's out too.

Abortion? Varies. In cases of rape? Ok(In most cases) one of my friends is a child of rape and she's one of the kindest people you could ever meet, if her mom ditched her i'd have never known her. (Whoever gets an abortion probably isn't the good parent sort anyways, personal bias. They aren't necessarily a bad person. I just wouldn't leave my kid with them to baby sit :p)

But just because she doesn't want the kid? It could be better for the kid to just go before birth instead of being dumped somewhere like it was trash after being born... It's a bit of a shakey subject, and i'm very opinionated on it. (If you don't want kids, PREVENT them, not dispose of them like they were a fucking soda can. that's what condoms and pills are for.)

Social security? My mom has to live on social security because she is old and frail, So anything that would cut it would make me divert my funds to her.

Religious rights? right to practice religion and take days off for religious holidays, but no public displays, and no handouts of religious material/fliers/posters. And take it out of the schooling system.

War? Sometimes necessary, in this case in my country now? No.

please tell me thats a joke?!?

we have too many, i pay thier wages i want better value for my money.

christ the Uk is about the size of a state in the USA why the hell do we have so many MPS!

If you dont read all the manifestos then you shouldnt be allowed to vote.

i dont have time to read all the manifestos from all the parties so i'd be a hypocret voting when i dont know what im voting for; thats why i dont vote: i rely on the people that do have time to read of the manifestos who do vote.

It's impossible to say whether a system 'works' or not, without first stating what you think it should be hoping to achieve.
