I was wondering if there wold be any interset in buying precut GP32 glass screen covers to replace the plastic ones as the are far more scratch resistant.

I was thinking about selling them but only if people would buy them.

So, anyone interested?

europe, UK, i dont have an exact price but id estimate a few pounds plus p&p i reckon itd probably be no more expensive than the plastic one available at gbax, also as for durability because the screen is a fairly small area it seems it would take a good whack in the centre of the screen to get it to break so the durability doesnt seem to be a problem

as i say, this is nothing concrete, just an idea, but if there is enough interest i will pursue it further.

Yeha i will buy 1 sounds good as i am frightend to take the sticky lable off the front of my console

Some people worry way too much!

I'd think about it, but it may be a bit of a pain in the ass to change on a FLU unit, yes?

Never tried!

I'd be interested too, especially if you're in the UK. I managed to scratch my screen really quickly even though I thought I was being careful, so a better replacement sounds fantastic.

Well better safe than sorry can never be too careful..i rember when i won a limited edition starwars gameboy and i broke the screen i was sooo upset for day and days

i'm practically obsessive compulsive to my GP32 screen, i need either a carring case if i want to play oggs on the go, or a glass screen as mentioned

i also need a flu XD hard to play NES games in the light, bad as a GBA with this shit

Axeman, as far as i can tell since i dont have a flu myself, if its as similar to my afterburner as i think it is the replacing the screen cover doesnt affect the flu, you just need to be sure to not get any smudges on the light guide. Im going to be looking into it in further detail after the weekend, i believe there is the possibility of getting antiglare coatings and armoured glass, but as i say, more details after the weekend.

what advantages would a glass screen actually give? a clearer picture? because I know that without the plastic protector, the screen is far clearer, would it be as clear with a glass screen? or is it purely more scratch-resistant?

I want to buy i Glass Screen cause mine is pretty scratched as well i tried cleaning it but it seem's it's too scratched.......Would the screen be really clear or what? And idk how much would it be in uSd's? But i'll probably buy one....(You're a genious)

It should be clearer and definatly more scratch resistant, im not sure about the clarity yet because i havent seen any samples with special coatings on but the plain glass is mildly clearer. the main reason for the glass is it allows me to put my gp in my pocket without a case without the ear of scratches, instead of putting it in a bulky case that i cant fit in my pocket.

Anyway some of you are getting a bit over-excited since this is purely "market research" to guage the interest. But i can promise you more concrete details after the weekend. :)

I'd definately buy one, the plastic screens scratch very easily when carrying in the pocket, as you say.
