Ive noticed in america they call the mega drive a genesis which sound a bit better but what is a sega 32x is it a saturn , is a segacd a dreamcast??
Sorry I confused the US/UK names there. I just call the Megadrive the Genesis, as to not confuse the Americans.

A 32X (known as the super32X in the US) is a mushroom shaped upgrade which plugs into the cartridge slot of the Megadrive, It plays it's own unique games and is basically a 32bit console with power just short of the PS1 (apparently).

The Mega CD (known as the Sega CD in the US) is also an addon for the Megadrive and it plays CD based 16bit games, there was a Sonic game for it but like the 32X it never really took off.

This picture shows the MegaDrive II and Mega CD II along with the 32X.

the 32x isn't a saturn, dreamcast oor sega cd it's just a 32x. I think I was one of about 5 people that ever acctually owned one. Search for it on google if you want to know more about it.

Neo Geo.
At the time it blew me away!!
First game i bought was Blue's Journey and the carts were that expensive you just had to finish them..........lol
Loads of fighting games(of course)and then the great Viewpoint.
A true arcade machine which left its contemporaries dead in the water.
1 Neo Geo
2 Pc Engine (with super arcade card)
3 Dreamcast
4 Atari St
PS Just remembered the Commodore 64 ..................sigh......happy days
Quake out

I c i remember seeint that add on in this shop in my town it was the shop that no-one bought from lol i actually thought it was just amemory thing.lol.What a good idea though i wouldnt think it would be possible to upgrade a systerm through a cartridge, Very ineresting!

Well technically it wasn't an upgrade, more a console which borrows the bits from another machine. The only proof that it was an upgrade was the 32XCD games which required both a 32X and Mega CD working simultaneously.

To be honest, the Amiga has and always will be the machine that I had the most 'fun' on, but the GP32 allows a lot of the above, so that is about the most fun I've had since then :)
this is my answer....

Playstation rocks! The games were great, and the graphics were not all blocky like on n64 ;) . Plus the final fantasy series really won me over. "Nights into Dreams" for Sega@Saturn was cool. Although i's not on the list

SNES, and only for nostalgia value. I think our favorite system is always the one we have the fondest, therefore most nostalgic memories about. The GP32 is my current prize, but I haven't honestly spent enough time with develop enough memories to outrank the SNES.

I had many other systems before the SNES, but that was the system that really got me interested in game development as a possible career goal in life.

And this is should be placed in Off-Topic, even though it has the word "GP32" in it :D

Atari 2600. Always will be the best. After all the pong consoles of the day, the 2600 was amazing. And back then, game carts were inexpensive too!

I love RPG -> I love SNES (and GBC, and Genesis etc...) -> I love GP32

shit i just voted gp32 then i realised the genesis was there. the mega drive has to be the best console ever. I'm not a big fan of consoles (i use my pc for gaming) since ive only every owned a genesis, ps1 and a c64. I used to play a snes at my mates house but it only seems that we played 3 games on it, mario, mario kart and sensible soccer. Therefore....the genesis is the best console ever. The genesis and the gp32 are the 2 gaming systems ive played the most in my life. Just remember the classics such as the sonic series (excluding 3d and spinball), balljacks, mega bomberman, mortal kombat, fifa 95, madden etc etc

C-64 was the greatest ever videogaming device (that's a wideranging term) for it's era.

Amiga (scrolling shooters) or SNES (SF2 and Super Tennis) battle it out for 2nd place.

ST?
But the ST didn't have Moonstone... more's the pity today.
