Got a dreamcast!

The only thing I can tell you about it is that it has a lame file selection interface with a blue background, and the menu that pops up after selecting a game has a picture with some kind of TV on the bottom of it. The sonic games that I am trying out right now seem to play perfectly with no FS.

Sounds to me like you have Segagen, I've just found it above. Sadly I've just realised that I've left my DC in Uni accomodation 30 miles away and I can't get to it till 2nd of jan.

Damn.

Well if you check that site, it's got something on there which apprently makes it easier to use. Might want to try that.

Has anybody tried NeoGeo emulation on the DC yet. Imagine metal slug?

im pretty sure the roms have to be smaller than 32mb in the neogeo emulator. theres something limiting metal slug from working anyway. that site has a beta copy of bleemcast!!! apparently it lets u play any game decently.

esit: ok maybe not that many games then.

Grrr... needs boot disk to load (and yes, I have one and used it)... anybody know of a way to make it self-boot? I've done it once before with NX Doom I think.

EDIT: Hmm... now I don't know if this thing even works at all now.

I never modded my ps2. I just use the card trick. works great. the ps2 gen emu is way better. it works full speed sound fs0 so its perfect. same with snes. if u have a AR2 or a gameshark try the card swop trick with this emu.
Yeah iv tried that. But the dreamcast 1 is so much less hastle. just stick the disk in and your away. and its better laid out in my opinion. I dont want to burn the motor out by sliding the draw in and out of the ps2 also. i heard that there should b a full speed n64 emu for the ps2 at some point, is this just bullshit?

Can anyone recomend trying any other freeware stuff other than the divx player and the snes emu? (these are the 2 im enjoying at the mo). Iv also got mame ready but i need a keyboard before i can use that.

n64 emu for the ps2. some one claimes he has created one but will not release it because of some copyright issue, but i doubt its possible to get runnin at a decent speed. the n64 clock speed was almost 100mhz, 93.sumthin if i remember correct, the ps2 has somewhere round a 300mhz processor, so it is likely that it will never happen. A Gba emus being developed but dont know how long thatll be until its out.

I had a Dreamcast but gave it to my nephew. Then I discovered all the cool stuff thats still available on the net emulators etc what a turnip! Still my nephew thinks all the stuff I download for him is great. lucky boy!
