There's this little PC game called Marshmallow Duel. You control one of two stick figures (in the PC game, it's 2P only) and walk around platforms trying to kill each other with various weapons.

It's hardly a problem for GP32 when it comes to graphics (a NES could possibly have a good version of the game) but I'm not sure if it's possible to make a good AI (or link play) for it.

Sort of like liero I guess... I've made a liero remake for GP32 (with AI), which is HORRIBLE... But I am making another Liero remake and I hope it will be better...

I love Marshmallow Duel! My cousin and I used to play it and we thought the animations were hilarious, so we'd sit and laugh our asses off the whole time. Good fun. Would make a fantastic link game.

Source code? Original language? If its C/++ (or SDL) you might be lucky if you provide a link, but no-one's going to do it without the source...

Unless you meant a remake...?

Hmmm... the official site doesn't seem to be around anymore...
Guess it would have to be a remake then. Although I would assume that the game is in C++ if you got hold of the programmer Duncan Gill...

Oddly, I don't remember when there actually was an official site for Marshmallow Duel. There's just, like, one fan page out there.

But, yeah, the game's fun as hell. My brothers and I used to play it like demons. Really, the gameplay is a little genius, as it's the only multiplayer game I can recall where you'd duck to trip your opponent, and you could bounce off walls. Very underrated multiplayer platform game.

In the same vein, check google for a download of Smiley Kombat Gold. The author was probably inspired by MD.

Hey, RCX, I'm just impressed you were able to make something that even resembled Liero for the Gamepark. Best of luck on your next remake, and I'll be the first to download!
