controller

If i were you, i'd get the ps2 version of that.... there are probably better controllers on the market, but i just love the ps2 one.

I don't have any controls at all, except for the joysticks I found in the trashroom yesterday, that I haven't tested yet. I always use kbd and mouse.. :>

good point... i play everything i need to on mouse and keyboard. First person games such as Half Life etc are much better using a mouse in my opinion.

i also want to buy a controller... actually two Snes-style ones for playing multiplayer snes games on the pc... anyone know of any good (cheap) USB-connection ones?

the ps one would be a better option for me as i wouldnt have to go to the trouble of buying a gamecube controller aswell, but i do love gamecube controllers. what about normal pc controllers, the ones that ive seen with 2 analogue sticks are pretty expensive

I got one that looks exactly like the PS2 controller only its green, i think its the P88 or P38 something like that, anyway, it has the 2 analog sticks and the digital pad, i don't know where you live but it was $19.99 at Circuit City and it rocks.

Im using the hkems usb2 adapter for ps1 and ps2 controllers. Its sweet because it lets you connect 2 controllers to 1 adapter to one usb port.

This means buy 1, get two psx controllers and start playing.

It supports the analog controls, the dual shock, and works with 2 ddr mats (I play with them for stepmania, the dance-dance-revolution clone :) ).

I bought mine on ebay with 2 ps2 controllers all for $25 after shipping, very nice.

Only win98 users need drivers I guess(from www.hkems.com), winXP has them built in.

Sorry about the long post, just over-excitable. ;)

I just spliced the end of my xbox controller S, easy as hell. Downloaded the drivers, and they let me change anything, even the rumble feature works with some emulators. Best pc controller ive ever used.

yeah I did the thing with my type s too. it is a good option, plus if you buy an extra breakaway cable and splice that you can still use the controller on the xbox.

NO NO NO get a Microsoft SideWinder Dual Strike its far and away the best pad for the pc and mine only cost me £13 off ebay :D

my controller arrived today. it took some fiddling about to get it working right but now its all fixed up its class. it made emulation a whole lot better as i can now play psx/n64/neo geo games without the hassle of my shitty keyboard :D oh and it's very comfortable

I was gonna say make an adapter for snes pads on the pc for $5 but you already brought it :( still i love using zsnes with a real snes pad it helps :)

looks and feels better when u use a tv out card to play on tv :D
