hello. do you think that the Max Drive PRO method (with 12" DVDs) of playing backup games on your gamecube will work with the Wii??? im thinking of moding my cube with a new case so it will play 12"dvd but i could just wate for the Wii and see if it is posible.

what do you lot think?

Well since wii dont know anything about the wii
its hard to tell
but if you ask me, they wont work.
Just mod your gamecube, buy a wii and sit your gamecube by your wii

the max drive coudl realy work, thats as long as they dont block the disk or mark the exi area nonexecute, or something..

its quite possible that maxdrive/actionreplay methods continue to work, but im sure nintendo will try to do something against it.

Also, if the Wii accepts regular sized DVDs/CDs, and the maxdrive/actionreplay thing still works, then you won't have to buy mini DVD-R's for games =)

wait wait, "backups" most likely WONT work, as they only work cause a "bug" in the dvd firmware, this will most likely be fixed, homebrew from memory/sd cards is what most likely will keep working.

if i buy a uk wii will it play some of my Gamecubentsc games(originals)?

Well I pulled a Wii out my ass today and unfortunatly they dont work ;)...

they probably will Not work... Why would a company developing a next Gen console leave a way for Copies / Backups to be ran by a knowen method after spending millions on developing it???
