Hi, I just received my GP2X. I ordered it throught gp2x.co.uk, and as I ordered it in late may, it was said through the whole ordering process that it would be a MK2, and also a white one (not that I really care about the color tho).

But what I received was a F100, a black one. I feel pwned, but I feel that it's not right since in the end I didn't get the product I ordered. What should I do?

Errm, the MK2 is black and has F100 as model nr.

The name MK2 derived from the boards, not from GPH, so I'm almost sure you got a MK2 (as the old gp2x are not available anymore)

Who told you you'd get a white one?

There are no white ones.

How do you know it isn't a MkII?

On the back if it says on the bottom line of the sticker F100-B it'a a MK 2
And yes apparently there are no white ones, but if thier isn't I think they should remove the picture of it personally because it is appears to be misleading quite a few people.

Ya, they really gatta get rid of those pics. I asked gp2x.co.uk about the colours and they said the white ones were pics of the prototypes.

oh ok, I assumed it was a F100 _as opposed_ to a MK2

only 280? consider yourself lucky.
mine wont go far over 266 and I'm lucky compared to others.

I'd have to say, though I haven't tried MK2 for myself yet, that I'm actually glad I ordered mine a few weeks before the MK2 was announced/replaced the MK1. While the scanlines can be somewhat annoying, I'd say being able to overclock to ~300 MHz makes up for it.

So far it doesn't seem to matter much regarding overclocking. I've heard of Mk1ers getting 240 and Mk2ers getting 275+.

Be interesting to see a full-scale comparison though.

I can reach over 300mhz with certain programs and I have an MK1. I actually thought the MK2's couldn't clock as high?
