I'm pretty sure the screens will still have 320x240 resolution. I remember some cell phone screen that has that resolution.
Well, being that the guy running the booth just said it wouldn't be 320x240, I'm inclined to listen to him.

Well there is one answer. "Display: 2.2 inch TFT-LCD, 220x176. 65k color"

The GP32 was 320 x 240, this is much less, so obviously the "kids" one can't be compatible with the GP32.

I was exited about the mini, then more exited by the kids, but now I've seen the screen resolution for the kids, Its a no go which is a shame.

I can't imagine that they would not use the same resolution on the mini. Its even too small for GBA emulation.
Agreed. I was pretty excited about picking up the XGP Kids for cheap and being able to play the GP32 stuff in a tiny package, but the resolution has put me off of that idea completely. Make it 320x240 and I'll be all over that shit.
220X176 resolution isn't definite resolution for XGP kids. 220x176 resolution TFT-LCD was used in the prototype XGP kids. Not sure if GAMEPARK will use the same resolution TFT-LCD or change to better resolution TFT-LCD.

Hi!!!

My name is Sung and I'm currently
working at XGP booth in E3 as a promoter...

So if you have any questions about our
XGP series feel free to send me e-mails
or replies this message. I will make sure
that all the questions will be heard by
our president since his attending E3 right
now... By the way (unlike other big companies...)
he is the main designer and
engineer for XGP... so he could even able to
answer your tech relate questions.... So
just feel free to ask~

p.s. is there anybody coming to our booth tommorow?
if you do so... please say 'hi' to me~ ^_^

Could you give some info on the 3D API of the XGP/XGP mini - will it be something like OpenGL ES or will you be using a proprietary API?
Will the SDK be available for free for us hobby developers?

All of the xgp series API will be OpenGL ES- however it might be a subject to change....
Also all the SDK will be free for amatuer developers in sprit of carrying GP32 main ideas...
GamePark also does have a plan to set up a wersite for amatuer developers in order to
help them to understand our SDK

Since the XGP and XGP Mini have li-ion batteries, I would guess the that the battery life would be around 6 hours (just my guess).

I think it would be far more than that, take for example the Nintendo DS: It has two screens, two speakers and runs 3d and at the very least you get about 6 hours from it.

P.S. The DS's battery is about 800mah(no joke).

Yeah but the DS runs at 67 MHz not 200+ ;)

I was just wondering.. Look at the psp its battery life is junk unless you buy a higher mah battery pack that you cant get at walmart, or any other local store o_O

It would be nice if they used a really powerful one in it, but they just have to list li-ion.. Thats not good enough @.@ Give us a 4500 or more mah one :)

Psp has ones on ebay that are like 4300 which last quite a while from what ive heard.

I see how we're going to be then. ;) Come on dude, you get 3-4 hours from the psp and that runs "200+ mhz"on a 1800 mah battery, and it has an extremely bright 480x272 lcd screen and the mini doesn't. In the gp2x you need 2 2500+mah battery to get that amount of life. I believe the psp also has a dual-core cpu as well and the mini doesn't. Those specs from the ds and psp prove that a company that is going to make a console that uses lithium batteries design it so they can get the most battery life out of it..... ;) Give me a reason why the mini won't have good battery life... :)
