I finally got to the screen where you can pick a rom but every time I pick a rom the screen goes black and returns to the menu screen. I think I have the right bios, and yes I have read the forum about GNGeo2x, but it seen every one seams to have a different set of bios. CAN SOME HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if your bios looks like the one described in the wiki page:

http://wiki.gp2x.org/wiki/GnGeo2x

then i'd say it's probably a rom problem. try getting roms from different places, and make sure that the individual files in the zip have names matching the romrc file that comes with gngeo.

Uh...http://wiki.gp2x.org/wiki/GnGeo2x? Did you look in the wiki yet? And google "neogeo bios" in google, and see what you get.

Oh yea, what extensions are your roms? Because mine don't show up at all...

I do not know I match my bios with authors but can not get any roms to work, I tryed from different sites no luck may be my bios are bad.I also have 2.0 firmware.

I used to have the same problem, until I noticed that I was not supposed to press START to enter in a game, but the A button instead.

Maybe you can try that :)

That start and a button stuff did not work Can I get some help please I am lost with the Gngeo2x.

First, do you have all the bios files listed on the wiki? This was my first mistake. I had a Neo Geo bios that had only 4 files. I got the correct bios and it has been working great since.

I've got the same problem. I try to run a game, and gngeo exits out to the system menu. I've got all the appropriate bios files (000-lo.lo, asia-s3.rom, sfix.sfx, sm1.sm1, sp-e.sp1, sp-j2.rom, sp-s.sp1, sp-s2.sp1, sp1.jipan.1024, usa_2slt.bin, and vs-bios.rom) all extracted to .\gngeo\roms\, and I've tried several different roms, and it still doesn't work.

I have absolutely no idea what to do now.

(I'm trying to get mslug.zip to work in particular - well, all the mslug games would be nice.)

yes mslug is about 12.5 mb what do you mean when you say, does it match what is in the romrc file? are you talking about opening the romrc file with note pad to see if it has mslug, I thought we all have the same romrc from the author.

We all have the same romrc file, but depending where you got the roms from it may contain diffrent files to the romrc.

The best thing to do is check whats inside the zip's to make sure it matches the romrc.

(btw programmers notpad or simlar is what to use to edit the romrc, using notepad would not work in may case)

have you tried doing a clean install in a new folder? that may be all it takes. also, are you overclocking? if you are then you should stop overclocking until you know it works.

Have you edited the "gngeo2x_config" file using Programmers notepad ?
You should try this.

I have no idea how to do that I am a novice at this.
