I Got The Joystick Cap Replacement

Hi,

I thought spending $15 to get the joystick cap replacement from the US store was a little rough on the wallet. But I can live with it. Especially after I stick the sucker on! My initial reaction is: why? Why didn't this come on the unit, or in the box?

I now realize how much I was fighting with the other one to get it to work. This one works without effort. Most noticeably, I can push left without problem.

Anyways, I have a bunch of writing/editing to do right now. I just thought I would share my initial thoughts.

Cheers

Ken

DaveC cap, yes? If you got it from him directly, it would have cost only $10, $11 shipped worldwide ...

Makes a HUGE difference though, eh?

Does someone have some contact info for this DaveC?
Im interested in getting rid of my crappy stick.

Send him a PM. Oh, and it's a replacement CAP; the part that sticks on the joystick shaft.

Well since my major vice is gaming, I have burnable income. I am quite happy with the purchase. I also got an AC adapter, which I so sorely needed. Now if I could just get the Neo Geo games to work, but that is in another thread.

Yes, HUGENORMOUS difference.

I guess it is DaveC, his last name starts with a C, I guess I just never put two and two together.

Everything I play feels right, and like it should No struggling with the controls. For example, Vectar is so much more enjoyable now.

The thing fricking rocks!

If DaveC is really not taking orders.....
Meancode, where did you get yours from?

... in stock, too.

It's awesome, makes it feel like a different stick. I got one for my '2X, one for my Wife's and 2 of my co-workers each got one for their's.

The $15 seems like highway robbery until you try it. Just get it. It really changes your GP2X experience. I will be writting an Accessory Review for this thing. If I had this when I reviewed the unit, I don't think I would have had one thing to complain about.

I too have bought the GP2X.co.uk cap. Looks fine (and a great price £1.75!) , but my GP2X hasn't be delivered yet!!!

If it was in Germany last night at 8.20pm, it should get to here (Edinburgh) today right?

David Chau is the owner of GP32z. He is not DaveC, but he did get the caps from DaveC.

Go to the site (linked above) and add it to your cart. Then put in your zip code and it will tell you. You can chose FedEx or USPS I believe.

...Come on. $5?
Thats 1 meal at McDonalds you'd just have to skip to be able
to have a great joystick on your GP2X!
You cant hardly get to a movie for $5.
5 Bottles of Mountain dew out of a vending machine is $5.
;)
