You can change the option to true. I don't have a USB gost cable, so I can't verify this, but can someone else verify it? Also, can you now attach self-powered USB things directly to the normal USB port?

The normal USB port is slave only, so can't accept peripherals.

The ext port has slave and host capabilities.

So I have to have some ext port to usb to be able to use external HDs, gamepads, keyboards, and mice?

Is USB 1.1 even fast enough for an HD? I guess maybe for the gp2x.

So what about gamecontrollers, where is the magical place to order a EXT port to USB adapter?

Say, could I just buy a USB hub and a serial cable and just wire them together?

Um, get a soldering iron and a USB hub, make your own.

Seriously, the pinouts are on the Wiki and everything.

it is only 2 (?? or 3 if you count a ground) wires, easier than my Serial Cable from a Samsung E810 data cable.

here is a powered hub, good for 500ma per port:

obviously that is in the U.S. I would probably just find a sell-out on powered USB 1.1 hubs closer to home anyway.

and I had to use:

the version with www. didn't work for me :)

Edit: dang, not quick enough, although my reply still holds merit.

sadly its not that easy, the usb signal is a mess and haves to be filtered first, details are on the wiki.
