A very quick change.. hope I didn't break anything :) New control mode for Mr. Falcon :)

CHG: When you 'queue up' some menu movement (such as hitting 'right' to
scroll a page down in the disk listing), hitting a A/X/Y/B will clear
the queue so that entering a submenu won't accidentally scroll somewhere
unintended

FIX: In A/B/remove submenu after picking disk image, hitting 'X' just
exits as it was meant to (B activates); used to also activate so there
was no cancel option, which could lead to accidental disk deletions :/

NEW: Mouse+Cursor control mode; when you are in this mode, the joystick
operates the mouse and the shoulder buttons are left/right mouse-click.
The A/B/X/Y buttons are the 4 cursor keys, and the volume up/down buttons
do Insert/Home -- this should make Dungeon Master and similar games
much more playable .. mouse and cursor all at once!

Yay! I get to be first for expressing my undying love for you, Skeezix!

Thanks a million! :)

heh :)

RL has been insanely busy for the last couple weeks, but a few folks were bugging me so I thought I'd do this quickie job..

Maybe I'll get something ready for compo, but I really shouldn't :p

Hey, Im going away friday on vacation, so I wanna stock up on some good stuff for the 2x. Any good games you guys suggest? Ive currently got all the arkanoid/breakout clones, as I like them, but I would like an rpg if they have them, or an adventure game, or *wishes* a topdown shoorter. Any good ones? (I never owned an ST, so I dont know, I was a C64 baby :p)

Well there is the Ultima series; Tell me if you get any of them to work because I can't ;)

Theres some good resources online (Zogging Hell, Atari Legend, Little Gren Desktop, Atari Forums, etc..)

But heres my additions:

Assorted screenshots from the Palm OS emu build; lots of games I like here:
http://www.codejedi.com/shadowplan/castscreens.html

(though as an ST geek, they might not be good ones, just ones I like :)

Theres also a blog posting I made:

jeff

And if you want an RPG, get Dungeon Master off my CaSTaway site; its pretty much the grand-dad of all RPGs today, with 90deg 3d gameplay etc :)

I like your blog, but considering the quality of the game Stunt Car Racer and its devote fans this

* Stunt Car Racer = another 3d racer, with twisty and loopy traks

is almost offensive. You should give it two stars and delete the word "another".

Btw, 1000 thanks for your great emu.

Peopel do love their Stunt Car Racer; I've never really played it except when testing it worked in my emus. Being my blog, it does reflect my tastes, as I said :)

ie: Stunt Car would've been omitted entirely except for the fact I get reminded of it a lot in emuboards and here :) Just like if anyone else made up their own list, they would almost certainly skip Time Bandits or Overlander or other classics I like, but many others passed over..

Really, I've been thinking of building up a screen-shot best-of sort of like my 'mega screenshots gallery' but without the Palm OS-isms, and all the games I like, ranked by some sort of primitive score. ie: A nice place to visit and see some good games .. I think my Mega Galleryworks pertty well, but its only a start :)

** Stunt Car Racer = Crazy 3d racer with twisty and loopy tracks; I've not played it much myself, but people do love it :)

Perfect. I really do like your blog now. You should get a second Guru title for this major update.

Skeezix: Is the compatibility of the gp2x version as good as the PalmOS version? I saw the Leisure Suit Larry screenshots and I couldn't get Land of The Lounge Lizards to work. It goes to the desktop and after double clicking on the A: drive nothing happens. This happens with a few games I've tried. Is this a known compatibility issue?

Which version are you using?

They're all very similar, but the GP2X _current_ version should be the most compatible I should think. The later GP32 ones and first few GP2X ones were a little less perhaps, but the earlier GP32 and all Palm OS are similar, and evolved into the GP2X one.

Try another crack perhaps..

I just fired up LSL3 (didn't have 1 handy) and it worked fine at least.

Not sure how playable they are, but I suppose they don't need the keyboard too too much.
