I don't know if I've been kidnapped by aliens or something but whats happening with the firmware.

The other day everyone was waiting patiently for version 1.3, now all of a sudden loads of people have got 1.4....but still no sign of 1.3.

Yes, I know that 1.4 is a private beta.

Just being curious as no news on 1.3

Yeah, same feeling here. Were you're aliens also little green men? :)

The GPL zealots stoped the production of fw 1.3 due to a GPL violation. 1.4 is the "next" version of the software that is GPL compliant.

Yeah, damn those zealots for insisting that GPH follow the license of the software they're distributing! Seriously, were you looking to start a flame war?

This statement is wrong in several ways... production of 1.3 was not stopped, it just wasn't released, and obviously any improvements made were carried into 1.4... Secondly, 1.4 is NOT GPL compliant, hence the (not so) 'private' release. 1.5 is destined to be the GPL compliant release.

Aimless: try harder next time :p

Man I was WAY OFF!

I didn't mean it was "Stopped" as such but rather that they jumped version numbers. Its not that uncommon in the software world to do that.

Sorry for the confusion.

And as for the GPL statment I wasn't trying to offend anyone. I am pretty hardcore about the GPL, and believe they should comply with it. There is however a line that can be and is crossed very often in the world of open source and to those I use the word. If they wish to flame they only prove the point further.

Thanks Planet_M for setting me strait
