Xbox 360 Who Likes It ?

i dont like the 360 because i have been mostly playing it on a standard def tv

at the moment the only realy reason the games look better is the increased resolution

apparantly gun for XBox being played on the 360 is almost identical to the 360 version

im not gonna be massively interested until they can do things other than fancy reflections

it seems the predictable jump has been made (make games prettier but the same) in some cases (fifa, and madden) the games have actually gotten more restricted on the new console

Ill probably buy one for my self after the first price drop and there are some more original games

The only thing that interests me about the Xbox 360 is the Xbox live.

Oh, and kameo, that's beautiful.

Revo.....looks interesting but I remember the Nintendo Power Glove oh and prior to that those mercury tilt switch joysticks with no base ;-)

2x Vice for me for now - welcome back to 1983...

yeah, I have to say if I ever do buy a 360 (which will be after the price drops significantly), I would only buy it for the live support. Everyone knows the xbox live is the amazing, so when the price is right I just may buy one for the experience

Anyone getting the xbox magazine with the ffxi beta thingy on it on monday ? or if your american have you got it and is it any good as it came out there on thursday ?

huh.... really surprised some of you seem to dislike Perfect Dark so much...

I'm generally regarded by a couple of my gamer friends (and my own wife) as being way too picky when it comes to movies and video games and I'm loving Perfect Dark quite a bit. Graphically it's a small step above top notch Xbox 1 material, not too fantastic, but it's noticeable. When you have a 32 player deathmatch going on and don't get a hint of lag or slowdown, you appreciate it a bit more.

I'm LOVING the multiplayer on this game most of all... some very fun modes (lots to choose from) and lots of players = nearly endless good times. I'm only slightly dissapointed with the vehicles... the only two of them. One is great, the walker/jetpack... a bit overpowered though. The other, the hovercraft, is almost useless IMO. Some more selection would be nice.

I still say Kameo is a pretty big leap beyond anything the current gen has to offer, graphically, and is one hell of a fun game to boot. Not really a typical platformer by any means... not a constant fetch quest.

was supposed to be the 5th, i got last months just for demo disc, and i'll be getting the new one just for ffxi demo, i WON'T be buying it for the magazine, it was the biggest load of crap ive ever read, it was basically one big advert for pgr3, i mean, 5 pages written by a 'master how to drive your car round a corner?!? i only ever buy edge and GAMEStm but i have a funny feeling gamestm has been stopped, their website is down and last issue should have been out 2 weks ago, as for downloading content from the marketplace, i havent got a bloody hard drive, only a 64mb mu. hard drives are rare as rocking horse shite at the minute.

Ridge Racer DS vs PGR3.

Very similar.

Actually the similarities are stunning when you actually think about it! All kidding aside, hot looking cars are no longer a measurment for me, Every racing game in the last 2 years has had perfectly built chassie models and reflective surfaces. the only thing PGR might be doing better is throwing a few more polys at the background that flies by at 300 mph.

It's seriously going to fall on a lot of people to get wide screen Hidef TVs because they;re in too much of a minority to have the effect on gaming that MS is hoping to see help the 360's case. They're going to have to start dropping them off the back of trucks in massive amounts to really get people to see an impressive differance on the 360.

When the DC came out, Sega tried to say it was so powerful that there'd be no reason to ever see a sharp edge on a character, yet that's what happened. The graphics were nice but they couldnt really dazzle people in the long run. That's what I see happeing here on the 360, It's nice and shiney and there probably shouldnt be any sharp edges.. but I look at Cameo and I SEE them, which leaves me unimpressed. I barely see a differeance between it and Oddworld on Xbox.

no difference between oddworld and Kameo?! you have to be kidding, cuz Kameo is one super gorgeous game, and in my opinion the prettiest 360 game out now(i've played maybe 80% of all, including doa4). the effects, extremely high detailed and all bump mapped-out levels, atmosphere and music, etc..
but yeah, there is a bit of aliasing or jaggies in the game, but i only notice it sometimes and only on the main characters. i know the game looked waaay more jaggied out at the store demo(probably wasn't set up right), but if you play on hdtv or computer monitor with right settings, everything is very sharp and beautiful and looks like there is some real 4xFSAA. also the true beauty of the game shows itself beyond the demo...
and yes, bast is right.. Kameo is a big leap beyond anything before. the whole game is just breathtaking.

and PGR3 is not just another racer! you can see it as just another pretty racer(although this is the prettiest by far), but the gameplay is really fun, and the in car view is the only way to play it! the amount of detail in the car and tracks is really, really nice, and the whole game is pretty addictive if you're into racers. good soundtrack and top notch online modes, too.
the other racer, RR6 ain't too bad either. not too flashy or as detailed as PGR3, but it's got a solid arcadey feel to it. i like the track designs a lot, and online is fun.

anyway, the 360 has been very fun for the time i had it(friend let me borrow for over a month..). marketplace\live arcade is a blast for demos and stuff, and there are some really good 360 games now worth getting the system for. i found doa4 surprisingly good and plays a bit better. and hdtv is no problem if you don't mind playing on your computer monitor with vga cable.
