Well, the topic description pretty much says it all - is there a genesis emulator for windows that'll load drmdx savestates? I won't have much time for extended gp2x play now that the holidays are over, but I'd like to continue my PSIV game on my regular computer if possible. Anyone know of an emulator that allows this?

Just save in the actual game.
I don't know if you understood what I'm asking for, or if I misunderstood your answer, but that doesn't seem to help me at all. I want to carry on the game I already started on GP2X on my PC. I've already gotten pretty far, and I haven't been saving in the actual game, just in the emulator. If I load my current save in drmdx and then save in-game, that doesn't get written to the rom, it just gets written to the savestate info. It doesn't carry over, in any way, to my PC. Anyone else know how I should solve my problem?

On most emulators (I don't know about DRmdx since I don't have my 2X with me), the "battery" saves are stored in a seperate file.

Copy this file+rom to the PC (careful not to change the name), and you should be able to load up from there. (assuming in-game save/load works correctly in the emulator).

I ran into this recently when switching from VirtualBoy Advance to Boycott Advance

As far as I can tell, this is not the case with drmdx - all the files I can find that are remotely related to my Phantasy Star rom are the .svX savestate files. In fact, I think the 'battery save' is also contained in the savestate file, meaning that even if I load a savestate and then save in-game I still have to be able to load that savestate again in the future if I want to access the battery save. So - anyone know for sure if carrying over a savegame from drmdx is possible/impossible?

i don't know about drmd as I only play genesis emu's on my gp32/gp2x. What I said above was based off of my knowledge of the snes emulators, which create a .srm file that has the actual save files in it. Sorry.
