Guys i have found that if you decimate by 2 and use V-Dub 1.4 and set Div-x 4.12 with bit rate of 256k, then yoiu get awsome results. Gets 1.5 hr movies to 100-120 megs..!

Quality is amazing...!

I think a lot of people already encode with those settings. I sometimes do, but i usually encode with xvid. I get the same sizes that you mentioned. I usually get 25 megs for a 22 minute video.

I always use a bitrate of 115, will that increase or decrease the file size? I've been getting some huge sizes lately.

30mins usually gets close to 45mb for me. Could be the quantisizers I suppose.

people usually suggest 128kbit coding. That usually produces files about 15% smaller. BUT for quality i use 256kbit.

The lower the kbit setting the smaller the file, but the poorer the quality.

I get 1.5 hrs within 120 megs, so thats over a meg a minute..
