As anyone who has read my previous posts, you'd notice that the TV-out was a big selling point for me, so I could play classic games on the TV wherever I went, just like the old days. Now Gamepark only puts the TV out fuction for videos, What the fuck are they thinking!? Surely, they can just have the TV out fuction on the main menu, and just let the whole thing run on TV regardless of what's being run on it, I just can't fathom why they'd limit it like that. I'm bloody peeved.

Yeah...no,

It's not confirmed.

No one has the tv cable yet

It's an early firmware release. No offical product has been released yet.

I'm disappointed too. I hope it won't be long before we can use it for emulators also ...

Question about the tv out cable.. Even if we did get it working for games, wouldn't it look like crap on the big screen.. All pixelated and what not since these emu's are for a 320x 240 display?

Dont pout.
Dont Cry.
Im telling you why.
Santa Claus is coming to town.

santa will save us from this and add solutions!

They should look pretty much like they did on the original console.

Cause it's a native resolution.

Don't worry it'll look fine.

it just seems like it wont look like it did natively because the emu's are coded for the gp2x screen. I dunno, im not quite as computer smart as most of you here, but i was just making assumptions

The native resolution for the games on the original hardware is 320x240.

What I mean is 320x240 is the resolution that the original game ran at.

What they're saying is there will be no differance in desplaying a game through and emulator on the gp2x and running the game on the original hardware on the TV because the resolutions are the same.

Man that sounded rude.. :)

Anyway, its not restricted and will work on homebrew soon. Consider the video player option a test. Please report back if you are lucky enough to have a TV cable already.

Now... is that a male S-video cable or not? :p

edit, noticed that the S-video gotta be male (yes!) and that the audio cables are female  (huh?)
