Is it possible, because then you could fit Sam & Max full talkie, Day Of The Tentacle full talkie and Monky Island 1 and 2 on one SMC, this would be great! (Sam & Max original monster.sou file (Sound File) was at 170mb and I compressed it down to 30mb odd! Day Of... 220mb to 40mb)

(Dose spelt badly)

I have tried to get scummvm for GP32 to play sound compressed with both mp3 and ogg encoders. But with no luck :(

It's nothing wrong with my files course they play just fine on scummvm 0.5.1, on both unix and windows. I guess it's one the features that came in a version later than the one ported to gp32. I heard the ph0x is working on a scummvm 0.5.1 port. Maybe it will handle compressed audio. And if we are lucky it will also play simon the sorcer 1&2, broken sword 1&2 and Beneath a steel sky (that is freeware just for scummvm). :)

There is no MAD or Vorbis support in the current (ScummVM .3.1) port.

Getting MAD or Vorbis working would be a good bit of work as there is not a huge amount of CPU headroom left after the emu is running. There is a Vorbis engine that is optimised for Fixed Point math that is VERY CPU efficient so that maybe possible for a future release of gpScummVM :D.

It’s also worth noting that the compressed audio support is part of the backend (i.e. the port) and not part of the core ScummVM code.

Also, one more thing, Broken Sword 1&2 are very unlightly to ever work due to there screen resolution being a good bit more then that of the GP32 ;).

Yeah, I just thought about that after i posted. That also makes it mosktly impossible to play Curse of Monkey Island. But simon & beaneath a stealsky might work right?
