Just moved atari800 from SDL to Rlyeh's minilib (ish). Fixed sound, volume control and improved video performance as well. I'll do a "proper" release shortly. Get prerelease 3 from scrameta.

That would be ok as well, but I mean single zip file of game. All my games are in ATR/EXE/COM format and I always need to unzip them before uploading to GP32. Or maybe there is a ATR 2 ATZ utility ? I couldn't find any. :)

An ATZ is just a gzipped ATR file renamed from .atr.gz to atz

Mark: does it support XEX and XEZ as well?

I can't get it to work. After the flash screen the menu shows but then the joystick/buttons stop working so I can't do anything but to reset the device.

Great stuff! Just spent a while playng Boulderdash, and it seems perfect. Took me a while to understand the menus, but got there in the end.

I've not really touched my GP2x (I'm waiting for a more comprehensive patch :) ) but that there's an A800 release already makes it worthwhile. Thanks for your work on this cool emu!

cheers IAIN

If this release is as good as the gp32 release, I may have to purchase a gp2x. I love the atari 800 - infact I own a Atari 65XE and XEGS - with a hard drive.

btw: what means "HH" version?

Hardcore Homebrew, I believe ED and Craigix are testing it for bugs. It's a new "Firmware" or Operating System if you like, that can interact with the gp2x Hardware directly and therefore giving it a huge boost in performance and of course battery life, because the HH version allready has a Clockspeed limiter, and because of this, the Emulators, Games that doesn't need 2x 200mhz can run at 2x 50mhz(for c64 or nes I guess). - It's also said that the HH will feature a little overclocking to the two arm9 Cpus, to up to 266Mhz each, making fluently PS1 Emulation perhaps a possibility in the near future...

However it's not out yet, nor are there any emulators or games for it. It's a nice adition to the main Linux Os the gp2x shipps with and doesn't erase it, you will get a bootloader later with the HH Firmware to choose what to boot, linux or HH when you turn your gp2x on :)

HH = Hardware Hacking
Damn, I was hoping it was a port of Hungry Hippos in digital form :angry:

Does anyone else have trouble making this emulator work?

I love it on the GP32, and have it on my GP2x now... the loading splash comes up, fades out, the menu appears.. and thats it, the menu won't respond to any input and I have to reset the GP2x

I've downloaded and installed it twice, no change

cheers, really looking forward to playing this

ps firmware 1.01 and SDL installed.
