Gpx2 Will Be Retrocompatible?

What?

If you mean will it have emulators to play games for old systems, yes. But you didn't need to start a new topic to ask that did you?

And if you mean, will it be able to play GP32 games out of the box then no (but a 'wrapper' could be probably written).

But I really have no idea what retrocompatible means ;)

Julius I think you're right, he probably means backwards compatible. Actually "retrocompatible" is a nice term... it sounds slicker than "backwards compatible." :)

So like, say you had a SNES emulator for linux, could you run ROMs on it then? I have been reading up and I just found out about the whole GP2X and I am rather curious

Can there be an SNES emus without ROMs?

Can there be a salmon steak without the salmon?

Can there be a baby oil without the bab... oh nm lol

I think "retrocompatible" is the whole point of the GP2x, just do not expect it to be compatible with your entire ROM collection "out of the box" there may be some wait involved before we see high quality, high speed emulators for all out favourite systems available.

compatible with retros?

Old games? sure at some point there will be plenty of retro game emulators, how soon that happens is anyone's guess though.
