Possible Emulators To Port

i think that a gba emu should be possible, i dont know how well the gp32 one runs, (i dont have a gp32) but since it is possible on that i would expect one to be nade for gpx2

The GBA emus on GP32 were mostly useless, not something you'd actually want to play a game on. Tech demo and proof of concept at best.

So don't expect miracles on GPX2, but it's at least more capable than GP32. Perhaps some obsessed and very talented dev will manage to squeeze a decently playable GBA emu out of the dual CPU's someday.

at least a snes emu. if i can get that some time within the gp2x's lifespan, i'm good :)

Snes infact is one of the reasons I'm getting it. All the rest too ofcourse (looking forward to Genesis and good mame :), but there are some great snes games. :)

With litterally hundreds of games still unplayed and more be translated every month there are more than enough SNES game to keep me happy assuming a decent SNES Emu comes along. Though I gotta admit a nice PCE/TG16 emulator (with less dependancy on frame skipping and save states!) would make me happy too. NeoGeo would be the most powerful thing I'd expect but I'm getting way ahead of myself.

they say 300mhz on x86. (but that without asm i think)
on the cube (powerpc) it runs perfect
so on the gp2x, when you really improve it (add 68k ASM core, use both CPUs and so on) i think we coul get it fullspeed

as far as i'm concerned, the megadrive alone occupies 90% of all that is good with classic gaming :p
god junker!! I thought i had the rose tinted sega specs on, but you're even worse than me!! :p

Hi,

I've started today to work in Exult port :)

As I have not a GP2X to execute code, I have started to compile it for i386 Linux.

Now that I have it working in i386 Linux, my next step is to clean useless features (resolutions greater than 320x240, mouse support...) and adapt the controls and GUI to GP2X ones :)

I will not rest until have my favourite game ever (Ultima VII The Black Gate) working in GP2X ;)

Regards
