Just a thought because, I don't know, who owns what, but they would be nice incentives to buy the GPnextgen if they were offered with them. In some form or other, Binary, GPL, Creative Commons. I know that GPnextgen is not backwards compatible, but part of me just wants this because I hate the thought of something vanishing forever.

most noteworthy apps and emu's will get ported over to the new system so no need to worry there!

But i wouldnt worry about gp32 commercial games becoming abandoned as there are hardly any commercial games anyway.

I'm still waiting for Blood Cross, Wanna Be Wizard, Goddess Saga etc... Ironically it'll probably be the piraters who keep the games alive rather than Gamepark (eg. using ST scene as an example)

You can't even buy the games in downloadable form anymore.
My hopes for Blood Cross seeing release, are pretty non-exist at this point. :(

I'm trying to get licenses for the games so I can offer them at GP32x File Archive... hope it will work out somehow.

That's a neat idea Dragon, plus if you could offer them for a fee it would be a great way to raise money for the site. I know I'd be willing to buy them from you.
Yeah... I was waiting for the day when I would be able to buy Blue Angelo online. :( That game looked awesome, but $80 was far too expensive.

I hope that they manage to make the GPX2 somehow compatible with old GP32 programs so I can download it and then play it on the GPX2 (craigix said they were working on it... although truth be told, I'm not optimistic).

You want to buy them now. why not when GP32 was trying to create a commercial success.

:D

Guess there is nothing like a handheld going obsolite to make it sell more games.

I DID buy Blue Angelo but it got lost in the post never to be seen. I would buy it, even a boxed version if I could get it.

I heard a while back that Pinball Fantasies got ported over, but GP didn't release it. Now that would definately spark my interest if you could get hold of it!
